BC really screwed the BM in BC. By allowing all the dispensaries to go legit....they basically forced the dispensaries to adopt the legal producers as the only suppliers. Thereby eliminating all the BM deals once it legal.
None of that good for Bm medium to large growers or the consumer. The now fucked over consumer who will now be relegated to buying the same LP weed from dispensary to dispensary. With the only choice the same basically from store to store. Even with fixed priced possibly......unless you know small time BM buddy.....hahahahaha

The dispensaries that are left are most likely customers still. I've seen and smoked some of that BC trips....most of it pretty nasty imo. Tumbled hard rubbed brussels barren sprouts. Sold at stupid prices here. Other than the few dispensary folks in Toronto......nobody else here smokes it. With the push to close any dispensary in Ont increasing....bye bye BC schwagg. WE don't need your crap.
Your customers who are opening 25 light grows and up are fucked....you guys over grew. Now with the BC gov allowing private stores to sell only LP weed....is only going to make it worse for your growers. Those medium to large BC growers are fuck-oh'd
That’s why the smart ones are getting ready for and embracing rec.. I’m currently building LP quality rooms for clients, easy transition to rec. no more poly and tuck tape rooms.

What itsmehigh is talking about is craft growers and the ones that didn't blow their money on toys and saved it are now transitioning to setting up and buying cheap ALR land to get it ready for craft. I believe BC has stated they hoping for craft to sell to LP, then craft to sell to liquor board/distribution and then craft to sell direct to stores after testing.

I'm wondering what the wholesale chain to get weed listed will be like......if they don't sqew you ...you out....licensed or not.
Same deal here....who gonna control the chain of sale to the Gov. For instance of 20 grower all grow Bubba Kush for instance....who's get's sold.
If your customers couls sell directly to private store...FUCKIN BINGO....everyone win....even maggot boy.
But oh No.....anything but the successful route for our Gov.

This means no direct sales to a store who could carry your products....you'll be a number in a book....a sqew.
Being craft is going to mean shit.....your still out unless they let you in.

Pure speculation as BC has stated they will not put a hard limit on the amount of store fronts and BC wants craft growers. Once craft growers can bypass the LP's its game over for the large LP's you just need to check out how many craft brewers there are in Vancouver along not counting all of the lower mainland, and most of them have their own store fronts. There has also been a huge number of very small pubs that have popped up all over Vancouver in the last several years. These are all around 1000 sqf retail locations and are constantly packed.

Anyone getting a store front up north and in ski towns is going to cash in big time in BC.

If craft can bypass....game on for sure...agreed. It's the forced wholesaling of LP weed that is going to make it boring and unrewarding for the consumer.
But if you know the right small time personal/craft grower...you be in heaven my friend...wink wink.

So if you want to smoke good weed you will have to know somebody? Kinda sounds like the old days all over again. Maybe the millenials and younger won't mind smoking mid grade stuff. I always figured mid grade average stuff would be processed into something else. People will still want to smoke good tasting weed.

I think most are exaggerating about how bad "mid" grade or whatever you want to call it tastes or how strong it is. I've smoked "high quality look" weed and it tasted like shit and didn't get my super high and I've smoke schmeg looking weed and it was strong and tasted ok. Add in vaporizers and any bad taste goes away and you can control the state of high with temp settings. Go into any liquor store and see what sell the most, its the cheap ass beer.

Well if the Lp's can actually produce some good tasting un pesticide treated weed........it will be only $290 oz.......hack....not so tasty now.

Will be like any product, you will need salesmen to peddle your gear at point of sale. Just like the beer/wine industry does. Get your quality product out and the retail will ask for it. You think that retail will have to take whatever the distributor gives them? They have choices, just like booze. Some beer is only sold in certain stores, as requested by the store. Branding and marketing will play a big role.

We had 1300lbs in the end of MMAR. Injunction in place while most growers shut down and no influx of new growers, prices started to climb in the 2s. It goes up faster then it goes down. Allard wins, HC given a year to make access. ACMPR/MMAR merge and growing allowed. New program grows with 2 sets of patients, new patients and the simplicity of getting a license. Now to current time of 15-16pounds in Ontario. My prediction, legalization expands the demand side. Prices gain momentum to the 22-23 area. A 6m-1y surge then growing catches up to supply. Maybe Health Canada starts busting there “super grow” list they have. Even this happening now would help the market. If LPs take micro producer product at any pace the economy will flourish. Let the LPs inflate the stock market with “assets/commodity” anyways haha we can all hope for a free healthy market :bigjoint:

Yes I know that........still it will have a middle man between you and the store. I know retail and the chain of events involved. It's far from free market selling.
Sounds like a lot of hands to wash and pay...good luck consumer on prices.....hello to buddies who grow..same old same old.
