Not even himself.I have yet to see you win anyone over to your side by ‘killing them with kindness’ and although you’re perfectly happy to tell others how to fix racism, I’ve yet to ever see you fix one racist

we don't even need to change the constitution to disband the EC.Should voting become compulsory and with it the electoral colleges disbanded? Isn't it a persons civic duty to vote for who they think is the better candidate? If people cannot be bothered to vote have they are right to complain with what others voted for?
If people had just loved Hitler more it never would have happened.I have yet to see you win anyone over to your side by ‘killing them with kindness’ and although you’re perfectly happy to tell others how to fix racism, I’ve yet to ever see you fix one racist
Im afraid humans dont change their view very often. We see it on RIU all the time. You can, and you'll have to to win. If people on both sides continue to be divisive, we will never solve this problem. It's going to take people becoming bigger than themselves. Someone who does not give a fuck if you call him a 'libtard'. People who understand the lasting way to win is to defeat your opponent using logic and reason. We will never win using the strategy of calling them racists and retards.
and that same town hall i watched they were bitching about having a $12/hour job telemarketing because MUST COAL and telemarketing 'wasn;t his thing'..welcome to the fvking world! there's a lot of things that aren't 'our thing'. but we do them anyway.I wish I could. But I've tried to no avail. Some no no other lifestyle. It's like old honky tonk country.
'just do it' - colin kaepernickwe don't even need to change the constitution to disband the EC.

The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Explanation
It has been enacted into law in 12 states with 172 electoral votes (CA, CT, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA). Map showing status in states. The bill will take effect when enacted by states with 98 more electoral votes. It has passed at least one house in 11 additional states with 89 electoral votes (AR, AZ, CO, DE, ME, MI, NC, NM, NV, OK, OR) and has been approved unanimously by committee votes in two additional states with 26 electoral votes (GA, MO). The bill has recently been passed by a 40–16 vote in the Republican-controlled Arizona House, 28–18 in Republican-controlled Oklahoma Senate, 57–4 in Republican-controlled New York Senate, 34-23 in Democratic-controlled Oregon House, and 26-16 in the New Mexico Senate.
Deep down, what do you think, what do you truly believe, works? The goal we're trying to accomplish is to get right wing or independent people to consider a more left wing position on the issues. So what will work to accomplish that goal? Do you think berating them into belief will do it like Buck and co. seem to believe, or do you think a more nuanced way of explaining why you believe their reasoning is wrong and has led them to the wrong conclusions will work? The answer to that question is already known. We know what works and what doesn't. Those that choose to employ the ineffective method do so for entertainment. They're not interested in changing people's minds. I am. That's why I choose not to be a dick to strangers who hold an opposing political viewpoint I disagree with. It has nothing to do with coddling racist views or hugging Hitler. It's a simple system of logic and reason based in psychology. People do not respond well to animosity and anger.I wish I could. But I've tried to no avail. Some no no other lifestyle. It's like old honky tonk country.

A lot of people said that but you don't hear about it because they died in concentration camps.
Then what is the solution?Im afraid humans dont change their view very often. We see it on RIU all the time.
You will have two people who agree on 95% of some point or other and still argue black and blue on the other 5%. They can throw as many statistics , papers or articles at each other as they can find. Neither will change their view. Its human nature,
I don't want everyone to think the same. Then what is the solution?
