A poem from Eric Berne...

She said 'Fuck You!', and then saw red,
For he went out and found instead,
A Fetching maid whom he took to tea,
Who later said, 'oh yes, fuck me'.

Vipar sell on eBay and do free delivery, in fact they are cheaper than they are in America. They do a three year warranty and they answer all questions instantly. I was going to get the PAR700 anyway then they put one up as an auction, I ended up getting it for $325 because I bid $380 at the last second because that was the price and I was going to get it anyway, but there were only two bidders moving up by $5 a time. It was at 320 when I made my final bid of 380. Ebay is good like that. The Hippie House in Australia had it for 600. The White PAR Series 700 put out a lot more light than their older model 900W Vseries. Don't be put off by their relatively cheap prices.

I currently have it 13" from the tops and it's only 30º and the ambient temp in the house is 28º
Vipers lie about their Wattage. They say 600 or 700 w when they are like 250w...

I don't mind if you 'bag' my light, I'm not emotionally attached to it.

How do you know this?

btw what was your previous light and what COB or COBs are you using.
He’s using quantum boards. Blurple leds are 3-5 year old tech, cobs are on the way out as manufacturers start to phase out production in favour of smaller smd mounted diodes like the quantum boards or Samsung/bridgelux strip lights.

So whats the deal with these led strips thay seemed pretty cheap when i saw so e on eb so all od ned is to nook them up to a driver and put that on a frame ?
Yeah pretty much. There’s some on eBay that come bundled with drivers that suit and are pretty good for the price. Personally I’m all for the bridgelux eb strips, make lights out of a mix 4000k and 3500k strips running at 50% veg and 75-100% flower of max rated current. Some of the smd strips/boards don’t even need heat sinks unless you run them above 50% max current.

Why kind of dimmer could i use with my lights? How hard would it be to install one to dim both lights at same time?

You need to dim them through the driver. The meanwell a drivers have built in potentiometers to dim and the b drivers have a lead you can hook a 100k ohm potentiometer up to. I’m not sure if it’s possible to dim both off one potentiometer but jump into the led section and someone there will know.

400000 years is enough time that plants would have evolved to use the levels of co2 present. Plants don’t require 10’s of thousands of years to evolve they can do it relatively quickly compared to animals.

You honestly sound like your talking out your ass. Put some science behind what your saying or gtfo.
Saying I sound like I'm talking out of my ass *to you* doesn't really give me anything to engage with, it is not a refutation, so I can't help you there I cannot do your thinking for you. Maybe I am talking out of my ass. Prove it to me and I will say thank you.

That's a pretty bold statement. Show me the money.

Oooh who didn't have their morning Jodrell?

They are more honest than almost everyone, they tell you exactly what wavelength are their diodes they tell you the PAR readings, and they show you the spectrum. They tell you the wattage at the power point, 326 for the PAR700W and they tell you the wattage of the LEDs and the brand, Epiled and Bridgelux.

It's up to you to understand that the 700W refer to the 140 5W diodes that are used. No one drives their diodes at their rated wattage because the heat would make them fail too quickly.

Where exactly is the lie, what is important is how much electricity does it use and how much light does it produce and what is the spectrum. Give me a link to someone else's LED where they are not "lying"?

It's like when a hi fi shops tells you that their unit is 100W it's up to you to know that mean Peak and not RMS, but viparspectra are not being sly and slippery like Hardly Normal, giving the rating as the nominal wattage of the LED multiplied by how many their are is standard practice.

Watts is not and never has been a measurement of light output for horticultural LED, it's a measure of power, of joules/second.

What company is that from??? @2easy
its a transformer tent. its made by the same company as powerhouse but im pretty sure they are just marketing them as transformers. they also can be extended up higher like the gorrilla grow tents which is who they are trying to compete with i believe. quite a bit cheaper than a gorrilla though

animals can't turn themselves to both sex as a last ditch effort to repopulate itself and the other aspects of its existence ..it seems much like reptiles and sea creatures how they adapt to survive and thrive.. we only think of ourselfs ..well some of us any.'cough'cough'
