Biden vs Trump

Back to the regularly programed therad:

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2019/05/joe-bidens-marijuana-legalization/

This article was shared by the NORML fb page but apparently the former vice president has allowed his views on cannabis to sorta get with the times. Rescheduling would be a good campaign promise from the guy who was probably in the room with Barack Obama when the Cole Memorandum was considered. Growing out of (bad but previously widely held) old ideas as a geriatric is remarkable.
A true corporate voice. Uncle Joe needs to go. I’m ready for younger blood with fresher ideas.

“Wyoming doesn’t need any form of cannabis to have a successful and varied economy. Hemp notwithstanding, the new genetically modified cannabis is far more powerful and dangerous, and not just a gateway drug. It causes hallucinations, psychological disorders, birth defects, suicide, violence and it’s highly addictive. It directly/indirectly causes crime and poverty. In Colorado, where marijuana is legal, it’s difficult for employers to find employees that can pass a drug test, required for key jobs like working heavy machinery or piloting aircraft. Businesses have fled to other states to find quality people.”

Is this from one of the sensible mature adults who have a say in our elections? Think this guy would vote for Pete, Bugbreath?

He’s hoping that the Dems choose Pete. Because he can claim his sexuality is no concern - to him supposedly. I believe Bug is full of himself and bullshit.
No, I thought he was well spoken and bright. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be.

RCP has Pete at 7.0 currently. He’ll be ahead of Warren and Harris in no time. Much more likable.

We will see, I think Pete’s youth and clean background could outdo Joe in long run. I sense the party wants some younger energy.
Buttigieg seems like another corporate Democrat to me. I think he's trying to use his youth, and other attributes, to try to steal the nomination, simply using a pretty face, not so 'rock the boat' political strategy, and a kind of 'call it like it is' sort of mentality about him that I find very false. It's clear to me this guy just wants to be president. He's not actually concerned with the real struggles most Americans face. He seems like a pretty well off white guy from Indiana, some down home country guy we can support. But what's his opinion where it counts?

Can we trust his opinion when it'll count?

buttigieg has 0% black support right now. Hard to see how he can win the nomination with numbers like that
That's about it right there.

More and more Americans are standing up for gay rights. I don't think that's the issue for him that hurts the most.

It's the black and Hispanic vote, more specifically the complete lack thereof, that will sink him like a stone.

I like the guy.

I'd vote for him no problem.

I don’t know enough about him yet to answer your questions, but I sense he is genuine and sincere. Time will tell, still a long road. May the best candidate prevail.

Select Stacy Abrams as VP
Why on earth would anybody do that?

Other than being a tax dodger and embezzler, she has essentially ZERO qualifications at all. All she did the entire time she was in the Georgia legislature, she did even less than Bernie Sanders ever did in congress.

And that's saying...well...nothing. Absolutely nothing. At least Bernie renamed two post offices in Vermont. Abrams didn't even manage that.
