Bourbon i gotchu later on. Dont listen to this hogwash.
LedDefficiency: is a clusterFuck within the plant caused by an over abundance of artificial white light. This is why white light works better at lower ppf's. The plants are registering 300 ppfd as 600 ppf of hps, t-5, or even burple. The spectrum is so full the plant is under-reacting. Defficencies kick in left n right. Especially in CoCo which has high k, causing further lockout once raising PPM/EC to fix problems.
I went through the same thing. Some plants do awesome whilest others choke out. Losing even one plant is a catastrophe in my eyes.
So, after trying all the false info here, i finally got some good info. Theres a few growers here whom pointed me in the right direction.
Magnesium (5ml/gal EpsomSalt) dissolved in hot water every other feed w/ reg feed. Phosphorus in flower (organic form once in awhile) double cal-mag to 4-5 ml gal.
An occasional foliar feed with (i use MagicGreen & MagAmp or Epsom mix & ph to 5.8.
If damaged, just get away from it. Use Mh Hortrilux Daylight Blue in lower intensities to actually cure the problems while continuing to grow.
You need to prep your plants in the very beginning & treat the whole way through.
Vdp will help but is not the issue, nor is leaf temp or room temp. Although they could lead to issues, that not it.
Is reduced oscillating fans hitting directly, used Mag, & watched my run-off last grow & did Phenomenal!!!
Personally, i have trouble with the QB'S myself too. They are very condensed brightness. Basically one big COB directly over ur plants.
Raise the lights as high as you can. 3' would be good. Then dimm accordingly to plants, not #'s.
Ive managed to fight off the defficencies (except the few plants now) for the most pat this way. Still can't figure out the purpleing of stems though. That one is bad & just happened to my FuelBombs from being under the Trinity. Now they are so tall i will never be able to recover them.
Its a sunburn that will eventually sink 8n so deep it effects nutrient or water uptake. Terror in my garden.
This is one reason why i use highly enhanced white. More reds then any other whitelight comp. & blues of fuller range. With almost 30% monos of the right ratios these problems happen allot less.
Now, im not seeing it at all in the Rgb / HGL.
Just redish petitoles.

Thanks for all the info. I'll dial back the wattage to 250 and see if the growth rate under the canopy declines.
What I have noticed in the flower tent is everything around the perimeter seems to be fuller vs directly underneath (much airy bud sites), and at the center they seem to have leaf curl. So I guess I should dial back on the wattage in flower too. I've managed to squeeze 7 plants in the flower, one I removed 2wks ago to free up much needed space. With this light my yields are averaging 36-45 ounces for the 5x5 footprint, (I'd like to see more), just not sure if I can squeeze anymore from these being week 5 of flower

Correction to make on my part. Before i had said "3x lense is 3 × 7% = 21% light loss to layered lenses. Its actually called 3x cuz its their 3rd round of lenses.
Really just a primary & secondary as most optics are.
Trinity plant still looking good after lowering the light & increasing the ppfd by 100+. She is on her way to dry here.
Noticed freaking gnats or whatever they are crawling threw the GnatNix like its a playground.
Yes @SSGrower , & other guy (brain fart sorry bud) i saw the post about not breaking the cycle with old, no-good yellowstickys. So i replaced them just now. Still sticky fingered. Thank you! You guys keep me on my toes all the time. Dont always say it but the community helps keep things aflow when im a head scratchin!
Just found a 8 yr old lil 4oz. Bag of the SNS 203. I ran out & it needed 2 apps n only got one. Just used it to 1 gall. Strong. Prob weak from being old. Anyways, damn, these are some hardcore gnats. Breeding on the pest-strips for gods sake. Been getting T-Drops. Plant looks good tho. Aside from being thirsty.

Eventually i will have to put the new X-Boards against the Bar-8.
She has them laid out Using double the area per/w or 1/2 the watt per sq", whatever, as HLG uses. So, she claims growers will be able to use then at 18" or even less. So basically, almost replicating a strip light or bar build in light distribution. Damn! We'll see!!!

I think you are thinking @Kushash and someone else who I cant remember on the stickey strips.
WCaP is an easy cheap tool with regard to the specific nutrient demands in an led garden, but its not like it cant used under hps too.

P.S.
You probably wouldnt like my advice on the fungus gnats, it does not consider production.

led deficiency, eh? can anyone of the believers of this crap please tell me what exactly the fireweed factory in alaska does differently then the rest?

strong white fluence light from above AND from the sides, CHECK
top lights near the canopy, CHECK
strong, healthy looking plants with big, colorful buds, CHECK

should be the perfect recipe for desaster with that much light, yet what are they doing differently?

for me they are one of the best examples on how you should grow with leds...

Anyway we can stop cluttering up this thread with bullshit?
Most of it comes outta hybrids mouth. Anyone taking his grow advice is mental. Any light company that sends him lights is also mental. Rarely seen a healthy plant in his garden in years.

This place is ridiculous.

Thanks Dude! Thats what i get for sharing my honest & heartbreaking experience with this VERY COMMON PROBLEM for at least 60% of the white led growers when they start. NM how embarrassing it was while i struggled for 2 yrs. And for now just to admit i let it go that long.
Call it not what you want, say i made it up, (I Did) cuz its a legit issue buyers should be aware of. Pretty missleading to tell a new guy all the great things about efficiency w/o telling him there is a possibility it just may not work out for you until you figure out the mystery dial combo.
Which you arent even providing in facts or even BraScience @ least.
No problems with all rhe other lighting techs but white leds something super special???
Id call them the odd man out making it a Defficency caused by white LED.

Better yet he should ask them how they prevent this issue :) and maybe it would help Hybrid out instead of trolling.
I find that how the question is asked can change the answer. Asking them what they are doing is asking them to reaveal intelectual property, asking them what they would do differently in a hypothetical situation will IMO provide more insight.

Dude it's you messing up it's not the light you would get shit on alot less if you would just admit when you have problems instead of blaming equipment you act like your all transparent and show all the bad stuff but it's never your fault...it's really pathetic. Oh and the 60% is bullshit it's only people on this site that have problems and it's a handful of people that constantly talk about it in tons of threads so it look like it happens more often. The fact that you aren't flowering yet is rediculous it's been 2 months. Check out some greengenes footage he's an led OG most people on this site wouldn't have built a light without him no special nutrients and never has "led defeciency" oh and he openly admits when he make a mistake. Even when equipment fails he takes responsibility you could learn alot from him.
