Ok thanks to this "dead" thread coming alive earlier where the guys were stealing a plant I HAD to post this.
Three years ago a buddy of mine had a grow and since I was closer to his plant I was tasked with watering it. This racked in many and many a day where I just walked the woods high and in awe of nature. During this time I came across no fewer than 2 (maybe more, but being high I might have stumbled across the same ones more than once) grows that other people in the area were conducting. This wasnt a small area mind you, I probably walked anywhere from 2-5 miles when I would get in these walking moods and would walk off in random directions cause I have a good sense of where I rest in relation to nearby things. Anyways back to the point here.
My buddy came by one day and we went out and watered his plant, then walking stumbled across one of those grows. I sat back and took in the plants with respect for the hard work obviously put into this grow we found. I mean whoever had the will power to go water these (our grow was maybe 20 min away from my house, this grow was at least an hour into the wooded area) deserved them.
My buddy decided secretly he was going to go and steal one of the plants and put it in his grow area. It rained frequently enough for a couple weeks after we had found the grow, I hadnt gone out to water his plant and boy was I in for a surprise when I got there and found this new plant. I confronted him about it and he admitted what he had done. I told him he had to return it, or start making the trip to water them (40 min by car) himself. Well needless to say - I stopped watering them cause he was a spineless bastard that didnt care whose plant it was if he didnt know them personally.
But maybe a month or two into what I suspected to be flowering I decided to at least go and look at them and see what had come of them. Karma had paid him a visit, majorly. The guy who lost the plant apparently must have found the grow, or some other spineless person because one plant had been stripped down to branches - no bud at all. And the one he had stolen was missing entirely.
The lesson here - and I wish every person who ever found a plant would read this - Karma exists. Do bad acts, and the same if not 10x will come back to you.
So to all those who have planned on stealing a plant or two. My buddy got lucky, dude coulda rigged up a trap for him at his own grow people around here do that. He could have been killed for his action. So next time you think of stealing a plant - think of it this way - "IF I GREW THE PLANT AND IT WAS STOLEN WOULDNT I WANT TO STRANGLE THE GUY THAT DID IT?" Because that's what the grower will think, and karma only lets you off so far - wanna take your chances?
