Whats wrong with liking purple. I love purple strains, they do seem to taste better and smell better, prolly b/c chlorophyll smells like shit and ammonia, and covers up the good terpenes. But people like it b/c its rare. But yes color does not affect potency.

Nothings wrong with liking purple. Its just way over rated. Properly dried and cured green will be better then any purple buds. The reason most people find the purps to be so good is because the people who are growing real purple bud are experienced growers and grow the Chronic. I bet if those same growers grew some normal bud it would get you way more wasted than the purps any day.

Its just a novelty. People wanna be able to show their friends their super rare "purple weed"

Ehh. Kinda turn.

just grow bangin trees, .8 the bags, flip them without doing much weight and youd be good.

I would sell anyway though. You make no money selling weed, and anything else is too risky
ha ha ha ha no money.... you must not have the customers to support dealin.. i sold weed for about 15 years there is plenty of mony to be had if you have a good connect and you have a lot of regular customers... if your payin 400 an oz and sellin weak bags and it takes you a whole week to sell an oz and you smoke a quarter than no there isnt any money in it..

you obviosly never been a succesful dealer or you wouldnt say that

i used to go through a half pound a week and sold my 45 dollar 8ths of good dank and still had plenty to smoke and plenty of cash

if you treat it like a BUSINESS (which is exactly what it is), you will make money with weed.

let's put it another way...if you couldn't make money selling a product which can have upwards of 1000% profit, I suggest you never start up any business for yourself.

Why do you want purple buds? Purple is a sign of stress or nutrient deficiencies.

Purple strains that are growing green just means the plants are actually healthy.

its a very popular myth purple colored pot is better than norm (i used to think so till i found this site)

Well, you didn't read my post then so let me straighten everybody out.

If you create a nutrient deficiency to get purple, more than likely you will come up short on quality.

However, if you grow a dedicated purple strain which turns purple WITHOUT any nutrient deficiency, than you will have great weed which is, well, purple, or blue.

As I posted above there are purple strains out there that can produce 24%thc....okay, that's medical marijuana folks.

Do a bit of research before you post something....or make sure you throw in a big IMO. :wall:

24%, pffssstt. according to who? i want to see the test results.

purple is for girls. "oh it's soooo sweet, oh it's soooo pretty, oh it tastes sooo good." fags.

In tomato plants, if they turn purple, then they can not uptake Phosphorus.

Weed and tomatoes are so close in their care that I would be afraid forcing a plant to turn purple would make it not take up phosphorus, which by the way is the nute that helps it make flowers.

Is color really that important? I'm more into to taste and smell, and of course the high, than color.

Go to paradise seeds and look up their da Purps.....of course ANY of the claims of THC are suspect aren't they? it's all about marketing in the end, just like any other business.

Any plant can be pushed..... green or purple.

so the company selling the seeds is making that claim? and then you come here pushing it? i don't know who is sillier.

I am not pushing anything at all. You asked, I answered. I've never grown it but I have been shopping for some new seeds and I came across this strain. They seem to be pretty darn proud of it....but the substance of the post was not all purple is a sign of deficiency. The plant can be manipulated to produce blue tendencies and still be knockout weed. Weed is the ultimate gumby plant.

Well I guess no one should grow Da Purps, which tops out at 24%thc, right?

So FDD, question for you about weed and color. We used to get "brown" pot here. Nobody liked the brown pot either. Sometimes it was your only choice, but we all would rather have green stuff.

What is the deal with brown weed? Is it a different kind? Is it a color variance? I've always wondered.
