This morning her leaves are back up in the air. Is she reaching for light or something? I dont know what do you think?

I think they look happy. With my plants I feel like I can tell when they are reaching up to bask, vs. searching for light. If they seem happy and strong, vs. weak (duh) then I would say they are just working out their shoulders after being cooped up in that little seed for so long. You can ask them, they might like you enough to tell you, but they might still be shy being so young. I'd say I don't really know, but my plants seem to be doing good, so I think that give me a little credibility.:blsmoke:

edit: I think your pics look better as thumbnails, when I click them there is too much blurr. haha. Is there no 'flower' settng on your camera? And as for using your tax return for a bad ass camera, I would get a used bad ass camera and spend the difference on the grow. But that's me.

Are the pics from the previous post and the one before it taken just one day apart?

It seems like the leaves are a lot bigger in the new pics.

Just looking through your pics your seedlings look good. But I've never done the seed thing yet.

And cute dog. Is she camera shy, covering her eyes, or was she sleepy?

yah those pics are just 1 day apart. She does seem very happy, and the new growth looks good. The old round leaves look a little funky though. No, no good camera setting for it I keep trying different ones.

My dog was posing lol. When we take out the camera she does a bunch of different stuff, and holds them all long enough to take a picture. She is a really funny chihuahua, she loves to eat small amounts of weed and to look at the little plant.

The strange thing about her standing up like that is she does it in the AM when the lights are off and its kind of cold, The leaves settle back down a little after I turn the lights on.

I was hoping Arian, and Franco would have come out with one of the strains they have listed for 2009 next. But this unlisted strain release sounds good. Are you planning to veg her then take clones, and put her into flower? Or are you going to keep her as a mom then take clones then wait till they grow up, and flower those? Also how long do you plan to veg them before you flower?

I will be using this baby as my mother. I am going to keep her vegging and cut off clones. Im not going to be vegging my clones long at all, just till they are about a foot tall, cut off the bottom 1/3, and throw them into flower. Lolli style. I will never flower my mother. Well... maybe someday. lol.

I was reading a thread where the guy had a mother for 5 years and he finally decided to flower it. It was a bummer, he ended up selling it to a friend to help with bills. Good for him but I wanted to see pics, the thing was a hedge.

do you know where you are going to keep he mother? And where are you flowering? I assume you aren't going to use the cardboard box.

No I am going to put her in an aero bucket and make a little spot for her behind my tv stand, but Im going to take out the back and put a door on the front, Im thinking bout putting my flower chamber inside my tv stand.

That would be pretty cool to put the flower room in the tv stand. Every time you sat there and watch tv, or played a game, you would be thinking 'there's a secret treasure right in front of me'. I would just worry that I wouldn't use the tv anymore, just pop the door open and stare at my plants.

Thankyou, thankyou for the investment idea. I believe I have interested a friend in the 'opportunity of a lifetime'. I did feel a bit like I was in a triangle scheme. But talk about a win /win. I get to build a better grow room and my buddy gets some great stuff and an unbelievable price.

How's progress? I think my plants are going to rush me into flowering. They are getting to big (lame complaint huh).

My lil girl is still putting along. Growing quite fast actually. The new growth is looking healthy, and the old leaves are getting a little dark and dry looking, Im not misting her, but I dont think I need to.

Funny that your complaining about big plants. Big plants = better yield : P. No harm in flowering a little early though. I cant wait to see all your plants fully flowered, they are guna be beautiful.

Im going to take another trip to the shop this weekend and pick up a metal halie bulb I think. Also getting a bucket and pvc to make my aero bucket. I will post pics sometime before and definetly after the trip. I cant wait to get her under my 400w.

Glad to hear the little one is growing up quickly. The reason I mist mine, is that I figure it would rain in spring, if you were growing outdoor in say the philippines. That's where I imagine my plants being, because I imagine there being huge wild trees growing there, just like in my closet. So with my mister I'm trying to be a monsoon or something. I don't over do it though. Later they will get dried out like a hot indian summer, make some powdered sugar crystals.

The only thing I would say about metal halide is thinking about the sizes. When I ordered mine I knew how big it was going to be, but I didn't think about the fact that it would be using the same enclosure as my hps. And they are so different. It is not that it didn't work, just that it was a big of a pain, and I wish I would have gotten a t15 I think, the one like the hps. However, it is like hitting a jackpot getting the perfect bulb I think, between the burning position, spectrum, life, cost, and size. Plus the other thing about size is that with small growing spaces, space is obviously at a premium and giving up about 3 or 4 inches in bulb space, and who know's how much space is lost with the bigger enclosure. So there's my bit on mh bulbs.

It will be nice to see her under a big HID (whatever kind).

You saw what I have right? A v very nice reflector with a piece of glass and sockets for fans. The people at the grow shop said I wouldnt need them though. I also have a 400w ballast thats switchable between hps and mh. I dont exactly know what your saying I guess but Im getting a 400w either way as far as size goes.

what were you saying exactly? lol.

I meant actual size. There are different shapes of metal halide bulbs. BT, ED, and T. BT - Blown Tubular, ED - Elliptical Dimpled, and T - Tubular. 400w bulbs come in BT-28, BT-37, ED-18, ED-28, ED-37, T-15.

Examples (all are inches)
BT-37 ---- 11.5 x 7
ED-18 ----- 9.8 x 2.3
ED-28 ----- 8.5 x 3.5
ED-37 ---- 11.5 x 4.6
T-15 ------ 9.8 x 1.9

Here is a link with pictures.

Hope that helps.

edit: There are also different spectrums in different lamps, but that's another thing.

So today I decided to try the LSA in morning glory seeds. My friend and I got a bunch of packs of heavenly blue and pearly gates. We put them through a coffee grinder then ate the powder and chased it with juice. I felt a little strange then when I went to work and sat down man did I notice the difference.

The music sounded amazing, and I had that feeling that soo many writers and artists have tried to capture and failed. The feeling of total disconnection from the world around me. Even though I was sitting down working, In a world full of greed corruption, and the EXTREME lack of tender care, I felt like I was in my own world of happiness, and even though the world around me sucks the only thinkg I can do is free myself. Good luck to everyone else.

Random update. Things are looking good, I lack a mister, and I think Im going to pick one up soon. I want to get my plant good and wet shes lookin a lil dry. I think some of the best pics so far are included here (still pretty bad lol).

Is 70% a good humidity level to sit at during the day? and at night the humidity goes way up for some reason. It likes to sit between 80-90. shouldnt it go down in the cold?
