Discussing politics and related stuff sometimes bring about differences of opinion. Differences of opinion sometimes cause people to get a little boisterous. It happens.
While I prefer people debate the merits of their thoughts or ideas and refute my ideas politely it doesn't always happen. I can live with that. If I've offended anyone with my ideas, perspective or philosophy...too bad. If I've been offensive to anyone in a personal attack, I apologize. My goal here is not to personally attack others. It's to learn, debate and expound on my point of view, after all we're all a bunch of know it alls and geniuses right?
I think some people could be nicer and some people could whine a little less. This is turning into a bit of a soap opera, I say everybody oughta go back to discussing / debating on the various threads.
Anyhow, I'd miss this section if it were gone, it's where I come to relax in a weird sort of way if you know what I mean? Let's not forget this is the internet, so my 2 cents...chill everybody.

A personal attack? No its my opinion, a simple one at that. Threats from mods are becoming too common place, diatribe is exactly what I have come across from Crackerjax. I havent, to my knowledge ever been rude or offensive to him and have engaged in long debates/arguments so if you believe my comment constitutes a personal attack then you better ban me as my opinion is all that I gave. people should not have complained unless it was a serious thing. My opinion is the complaints have gotten way outa hand & very petty.
we been bitchin at each other for years on here and everyone was cool
no one complained much. is was a silent code that we could possibly stretch the meaness in here a little being that its a forum for politics
but now with the constant im telling mommy on you stuff
people force the mods,to come in and enforce the rules upon us
then everyone misapropriatly attacks the mod, who is just tired of babsittin us and wasting time on all this bullshit
unless its a major insult then why couldnt you just buckback a little with a wise little retort of your own?
a little rough diplimacy would have gone a long way.
this politics forum is dead half the time until people get riled up by currect events.
it was exploding right up to the elections then everything chilled out
now it has been exploding again
i guess since its not about people bashing the bush administration anymore. we cannot rely on the thick skinned conservatives on here to not bitch and moan about trivial comments all the time.
it seems like now that the diatribes are mostly agaisnt obama, it seems that some people on the liberal end cant seem to take it and feel it necessary to call mommy every 2 seconds.
just pretty irronic thats all. when it was the other way around, we never bitched to anyone about anything and all we got was flak and were outnumbered like a zillion to 1
and if I had to do it all over again i still would not have bitched

No I have not totally left here, I am just trying to refrain from posting in the politics section because it is hard for me to not bite back when bitten.
It bums me out that this section is looking like it is going to get banned. Not that I think a lot of the ideas floating around need another place to be posted on the internet, but it was a fun thing to come on post a while and get caught up on what the outskirts of political ideology is looking at.
I do feel for FDD. I think that he does enjoy this forum but the back and forth is worse here than on a lot of sites. Simply because here is a website that is not set up for a political ideology. Usually they are one side or the other and people come on post and get beaten up until they leave by the regulars.
Here it really is both sides of the coin in one room, and both sides are really adamant about how they feel. And that makes it tough to figure out where all the drama starts.
I can say I have not once reported anything. Because it doesn't much matter I am not afraid of anyone on the internet, so why report things?
As for the cyberbullying that is not why I decided to leave, I actually had fun with it (both ways). It was more knowing the position that I was putting Fdd in everytime I would hit back, that is why I left.
Anyway good luck with keeping this open, but it really is not looking too great.
P.S. Now that I am on the main forum more I have noticed how many people had my Obama avatar, so I had to change it, which bums me out since there is not one of Bill Clinton really smoking.
