There is another way to muzzle ur guns..... old bullets ...illegal. NEW bullets with serial numbers and cost 100+ bucks a box only. It's being talked about....quietly of course.

No, what they will do is make ur old bullets illegal. Anytime you are out firing ur weapon.... guess what. Want to go to a firing range? Not with old bullets. They will have a "grace period" when you can turn over ur old bullets and get a discount on new ones.....traceable ones. After that.... look out.

There won't be repercussions until you fire ur weapon.

I'm all for people being able to own guns. What concerns me is the law enforcement officers carrying guns. I realize that because the "criminals" (that's you and me, by the way) have them, the police "need" them to protect themselves, but I'm tired of hearing stories about officers who shoot first and ask questions later. If they're going to have guns, they need to learn some restraint. Sadly, I think the citizens need guns to protect themselves from the police (those same people who are supposed to protect US!)

I'm no fan of the cops but in every equation it's important to look at everything, every angle, to get at the truth.

Let's reverse it...... if you added up all of the ENCOUNTERS police have with bad ppl, some being VERY bad..... and then averaged in the actual times a gun was fired by the police..... it's very very low.

Newb19....... you try busting down doors without a weapon.... see how long it is till they bury you.

Cops are exactly geniuses, but they want to go home to their family at the end of their shift.

Frankly, I's rather dig ditches on the Equator than be a cop.... like the worst job ever.

I agree CrackerJax. I just think it's fucked up that citizens feel they need guns to protect themselves from cops, who are supposed to be the "good guys", which in turn feeds the need for cops to carry guns, etc, and it's a vicious cycle that never ends. I mean, if I went storming into a cop's house in the middle of the night I'd expect to be shot at - hell, I'd expect to be shot rolling into anyone's house at 3 am. If I shot back, that makes me a murderer. If a cop shoots back, it makes him a hero. WTF? What keeps coming to mind is a story of an elderly woman who was "raided" by some officers in the middle of the night. She had a gun, because she didn't know why these people were descending upon her in the wee hours, and the officers shot and killed her. Turns out they raided the WRONG house and someone's grandma died because they made a HUGE mistake.

and that happens a lot...it happens way too much, and who are to blame? the damn cops and their tactics....its so fucked up...
how are the people living in the house supposed to know its police or dea busting down their door in the middle of the night? then amongst the confusion the resident ends up getting shot and losing his life...it happens all too often...

They're trained to be bullies, plain and simple, and it's reprehensible. Anyone who has ever found themselves sitting in jail with no bond knows that "innocent until proven guilty" is a big fat lie, and that resonates doubly with the men and women in blue, apparently. Everyone is a "suspect" and even when they finger the wrong guy, do they bother apologizing? Nah, they leave you with a smashed up front door that'll have to be replaced at YOUR expense, and your house in shambles under the guise of "just doing my job".

It takes a serious mental defect to want to do a job like that in the first place. This is a broad statement that doesn't apply to all law enforcement, I know, but the ones who aren't defective are often just terribly deluded and/or have no experience dealing with the "criminal element" or the law and soon discover that they're on the wrong side (the fine men and women at L.E.A.P. come to mind).

Anyway.

I couldn't agree more, I believe the police "job" simply attracts a type of person, a person who wants authority, a person that wants power, and a corruptible person...its just bad...Ive literally been stopped by the police for no good reason, and then they tell me "we had some people jumping fences blah blah blah" and they literally said to me before they released me cuz they had nothin on me and I had done nothing ..."well it was prolly him but whatever theres nothing we could do"...what kinda of an asshole says that...and thats just one of manyyyyyy absurd encounters ive had with LEO....fuck em

Why can't the police just pass resolutions against hardened criminals? The UN is HIGHLY successful at that..... right?

Because the police aren't a legislative body and are tasked with enforcing laws, not writing them. What's the UN got to do with it?
