Why am I not getting a buzz from this dip?

So over the summer my friend started dipping, and I tried it with him a few times. I always got a nice buzz, but I stayed away from it knowing how harmful it is and how addictive nicotine is. Anyway I bought a can of Grizzly Pouches a few days ago, and I can NOT get a buzz off them! I've had two in at a time for like 30 minutes and I still never get ANY sensation, except a headache later. I don't smoke cigarettes and I haven't dipped (prior to now, obviously) since June.
Why the hell am I not getting a buzz?

 who cares man? I mean you said you're not looking to get addicted, and grizzly is garbage anyway. Take it as a sign to refrain from that shit.

Seriously guys, I'm not trying to be a bitch, but please don't try to fucking preach to me. I know exactly what I'm doing and I barely ever use this stuff. I understand that nicotine is harmful. If you don't have an answer to my question or some advice, please don't bother posting.

Who knows. Oh the wonders of nicotine, if you're not addicted, quit that shit. Even though smoking is worse for your mouth than chewing.(fact) [and definitely your lungs, no argument there], the chicks usually don't dig Marlboro reds over red-man. I'm 18 and been a nicotine addict for 3 years. I started on snuff, pouches, long cut, all the fruit flavors of skoal the mint flavors it's all fucked up. Don't start smoking and if you can't catch a buzz off chewing, why bother doing it.

Another thing, if you don't like my advice above. Work the pouch with your tongue while it's in your lip, put more spit on the pouch and squeeze it like a sponge between your lip and gum, in & out, also with the pouches if you really want fast high level nic absorption, put one under your tongue and try to walk in a straight line.

[thought]^[paragraph 2]Sounds pretty nasty when it's written out but write out the steps of chewing gum and see if it's cleaner.

Thank you for combining your sermon with advice and acknowledging that I can make my own decisions. If its any consolation, I certainly don't do this often. I find the buzz somewhat similar to weed, which is something I currently lack the funds for.

Don't start to begin with, trust me.
Not going to preach, but just my thought. Grizzly is also the worst brand out there... if you absolutely have to try it or whatever go skoal.

If you really want a buzz from dip pour a half/full shot of Jim beam or Jack Daniels in the can and let it soak for day or so.

Dude if you're gonna do that, switch to cigs.

My bro used to chew when he was underage to hide it from my mom, when she caught him all she said is "If you're gonna chew give that up and smoke cigarettes."

Once your body becomes accustomed to nicotine, it stops giving you a buzz. After that, it simply scratches the itch it created. Which feels great, by the way.

Does this release the nicotine faster, or are you taking the piss saying the small amount of alcohol will catch a buzz?

Honestly dont really know, use to do this when i stopped smoking and switched to dip when i played football. If i had to guess i would say its from the combination of both the nicotine and alcohol being absorbed over a period of time. And besides if you wanted to add more can always just rinse and repeat. I only said a shot because more then that at one time would more then likely overflow the can of dip.

Now I know you're taking the piss. Saying the alcohol itself has any effect on a person. Unless you dip the whole can, you won't be getting even a single shot of the alcohol you put in, and if your dip is a whole can you should have no problem getting a nicotine buzz in about 30 seconds followed by an extreme puke sesh. I'd say that the alc may break the tobacco or nicotine into a more readily dispersed form, a sudden rush of nicotine, or complete use of the nicotine normally unused in a dip.

It's different since it is absorbed rather than ingested. It takes less to give you a buzz if you absorb it.

That's how I got hooked on Newports for 10 years or so, til they started selling 'em at crack prices. Now if I want to smoke a cig I'll just buy some shwag.
