Not that I have extensively parused the Politics section of this forum but I can honestly say that from what I have read, you are better off using Rollitup for plant information and plant related non-partisan political matters than for discussing everyday politics.

The general zeitgeist of this political board is pretty weak, very partisan, very pervasive, and very unfounded.

You are best looking for political information somewhere else because a lot of the stuff here is clearly made up partisan slander that these, to put it quite kindly, rabblerousers are regurgitating. There is very little or no profound statements or articles, and the sourcing is pretty weak as well.


If you regular this area, you probably know what I'm talking about.

If you are one of these (kindly put) rabblerousers, you probably realize how ignorant you make yourself out to be when it comes to politics and don't care. Smoke a bowl, have a beer, put on some nascar, and have a nice life.

Any who i didnt mean to come in here sounding hostile but politics can be a touchy subject with all the ppl that are unwilling to view info from both sides and make an informed decision on their own. And when i see some one referencing NASCAR (seiing how NO ONE would watch that crap) to make it sound like conservatives are all redneck nascar watching beat ma wife racists, it bothers me. so any way keep tokin an ovewrgrow the earth ppl. Thatll help reduce the greenhouse gasses that are destroying our planet! lol

W/e maybe you ought to avoid taking things like that personally and lashing out, if you aren't an idiot it doesn't target you. Like I said, the rabblerousers know who they are and probably don't care that they look like idiots, they just want to rouse.

I agree with you completely about viewing things objectively, and I would ask people who say things to maybe view them objectively before saying them, but that is a lot to ask.

Clearly I didn't take into account that mentioning NASCAR could insult people, sorry. I just like to throw it into my Joe Sixpack jokes. It represents American ignorance and simplicity not conservatives. I definitely didn't intend to make that connection, just sort of think that people are stupid in general. But yea, I'm glad you understand the NASCAR joke, as it is total crap and no one should watch it because it sucks, kind of like unfounded political slander.

Unforunately, both those things are really quite popular (and profitable).

I agree info is only as good as the interpreter. One must identify who is giving the info and recognize any biases present it just so happens we have a few opposing views. Good to know, someone is standing up for it. But, I think you can find good insight anywhere. I on the other hand have been amazed at the lack of insight most of them have.

I'm no negative nancy, but I found myself sort of disgusted by some of the RABBLEROUSING and don't want impressionable minds site going home and regurgitating some of this ignorance.


Anybody making claims without reliable sourcing is probably just talking out the ass. Or regurgitating. Also, a lot of the sources will be biased, as will the posters.

no but i can use amounts of posts to discredit someone who claims to be lacking in good politidal conversation. If there was something lacking in a conversation than post it or just ignore it. Rep is only useful to digest information given to you by others in the forum. IMO if your getting all your rep from a chat thread than its doubly useless.
