the dems have done it again, really our goverment has done it again. how in the hell is it ethical for the majority leader in congress to basically bribe or pay off the vote of another senator just to pass a bill and it not be unethical. so the state of nebraska wont have to endure cost the others states will have to because there sentor was basically for sale. these a classic example politicians looking out for votes tommorow instead of whats best for our country today. so please share your thoughts and tell me how this doesnt piss you off.

We need a ROPE!

Reform Our Politicaly Elected!

It's really sick that this is legal. And the Courts are silent. Everyone should just stop paying.... Think about it. They must have money. Don't give them any. They're addicts plain and simple. And they will do anything to obtain their desire. And I mean ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!

The only solution is to bring them all up on charges of treason and/or sedition. Until then - we are just a bunch of talkers with no power and a bunch of people who pose no threat.

That must change and change in FORCE!

It does piss me off. Kinda the way someone will get pissy and make a thread when "Dems" do it yet mysteriously don't feel the urge to when Republicans do. And vice versa were that the case....

The Socialists have been pushing universal healthcare for one hundred years in this country.
This is one step closer to destroying the free market healthcare.
With the intention of convincing the country the free market doesn't work.
So ultimately they will be able to impose socialized medical on the US.
That Goal is more important then the means used to get it through.

But really this is nothing new.
Its just more people are watching now.
The republicans are every bit as guilty of this behaviour as the Dems.

i have to agree with haul on this one, but how do we as the public pull something like this off without all landing in jail for tax evasion? that is my real ?, i would love to see it done, but could one imagine the logistics of trying to pull something like this off? it is damn hard to get three people come together on what time to have dinner, let alone a whole country on something as big as what you are talking about..
any thoughts on how we could do something like this would be eagerly awaited.. i would love to stick it to the gov the same way that they have been sticking it to us for centuries...
great post though haul.. very precise, and cutting, and i couldn't agree more..

Free market heathcare, huh? If you get insurance through your employer it's basically socialized medicine, except someone is making a buck off it. Why do you want to preserve health insurance companies at all cost. They provide no value added service and are basically just a leech on the economy. There's a reason we have laws against usury....so the credit companies can rape you instead, err, i mean to protect the consumer.

I don't want to preserve health insurance companies at all.
You should pay in cash through a HSA.
Health insurance should be like term life insurance.
As it is health "insurance" is a payment plan and socialist.
Hence why prices go up uncontrolably.

Fair enough, I totally respect that even if your plan would probably mean MORE people losing their house when they lose their good health...

It seems like a lot of people don't understand how our current system works and that, apart from letting people get rich from others' ill health and not providing universal coverage, our system is basically socialized medicine as it is. This whole debate is mostly about politics, not economics or health...

How exactly do the insurance companies make money off of someone's sickness?

You buy medical insurance as a bet that you ARE going to get sick at some point and the insurance companies take that bet. They can put the odds more in their favor by not covering preexisting conditions, and raising rates on the obese, smokers and folks in risky occupations. The more you ask the insurance companies to cover the higher the cost of the policy. Policy costs can be lowered through high deductable policies. Why are they lower in costs? Because the risk to the insurance companies is lowered as well.

Want cheaper health insurance? Insist upon tort reform and the selling of heath insurance policies across state lines.

The major problems with our health systems are due to government skewing the market.

You mean like timothy mcveigh tried to do?
Yeah little Timmy snuck into that building and setup explosives without being detected right?

Do some research about the explosives found inside that never detonated.

You know it all though right?
