Mass is proving that it hasn't completely gone soft in the head. They are still independent up there and don't like to be taken for granted. Plus, they are smart enough to see we have been spending ourselves into oblivion and that this healthcare bill will only make matters worse.

blah hahahahahahahahahahaha. your fucking hilarious.

hey dude, note to self, the citizenry has awakened. they are throwing your statists buddies out. the biggest lib state ever in the history of lib is now taking back their freedoms and tossing the tyrants. you can thank the conservatives once you figure it out....sort of like your fake global warming nonsense..... you have been bamboozled into thinking libs are there for your benefit.

get off the puppet bus before it goes off the cliff with the rest of the lemmings.

on second thought, if you are too stupid to realize that the country has been taken over by marxist, stay on the bus. best thing for the gene pool. the rest of us will do the heavy lifting in your absence.

i'm sorry but california has that dubious distinction and i'm afraid we won't be rid of the pesky little bugger until we are bankrupt and everyone with two nickles to rub together has fled in disgust.

Are you rubbing, or leaving? Maybe both, eh?
First off I hope the republicans win this state, which honestly looks like they will. The chick they put up to run against this "republican" small town man is an idiot.

The democrats are idiots for putting her up. Hopefully it`ll be a slap to the face of Obama and he will wake up and start running this govt.

You could be right, he hasn't tried very hard to appease his base. His performance on healthcare has been asbismal. I do realize though, that the party of NO has been filibustering every bill the Dems have proposed. It's amazing what the minority can do when they are organized as opposed to the fragmented Dems. This loss of the senate seat, (If it happens) should be a real wake up call to the dems, get organized or prepare to lose in the fall. Although the health care bill is a travesty, it is better than nothing and needs to be passed. After passing, it could be tweaked to really be the shit. The Insurance moguls are winning this fight. either way they win, stay the same and they can rape and pillage, change and they get 30 million new forced pay customers with no price controls, Win Win.

they are throwing your statists buddies out.
Obviously you don't have a clue ...

the biggest lib state ever in the history of lib is now taking back their freedoms and tossing the tyrants.
Yawn ...

you can thank the conservatives once you figure it out....sort of like your fake global warming nonsense..... you have been bamboozled into thinking libs are there for your benefit.
Yeah .... right ...

get off the puppet bus before it goes off the cliff with the rest of the lemmings.
You need to follow your own advice ... but of course you won't. A conservative lemmings is Ok in your book it seems.

on second thought, if you are too stupid to realize that the country has been taken over by marxist, stay on the bus.
You are the one too stupid to see the truth ... nothing new there.

best thing for the gene pool. the rest of us will do the heavy lifting in your absence.
Again ... try following your own advice ... :bigjoint:

This is great political theatre. I hope everyone is able to sit back and enjoy it for that. If Brown wins it will be facinating to watch the dems. They already have conceded that both delaying Brown's cert or the reconciliation gambit have political costs that are way too high. All that's left is to pressure the house to accept the senate bill.

That's where it will get interesting. House members are all up for re-election this year. Almost 2/3 of Americans don't want this bill. Even in Mass, the people will have said that just today. Many seats could be lost with a vote to accept the senate version. Combine those votes with the hard left vote who believe no bill is better than the senate bill, and it is questionable whether the senate version can pass the house.

What would be best for congress is to go back to the drawing board and craft a true bi-partisan bill which includes tort reform and includes interstate insurance competition and cuts out some of the problems in the current bill. That would pass on a bipartisan vote. But that would NOT be good for Obama. He needs something to pass that is his. If he can't get healthcare and he loses big in Nov, he is already a lame duck. Facinating.

Re-conciliation here we come.
Assuming that Brown wins , if the machine can bribe a senate republican to their side, then its back on the dems to work out their differences. I wouldn't count anything out at this point.
I would hate to see this election go to waste, as far as the people's feelings on healthcare is concerned anyway.

There ya go - when the democracy of the democrats is against the wall - just bribe another senator. Why can't they see that's exactly the attitude that got them in the situation to begin with?
