First time growers, just started flowering recently? come on in :)

second for me, I grow mostly outdoors organic, but when the summer Tstorms with 60 mph winds and rain 2 inches in 1/2 hour I put them inside under the lights and fans they do great... and most say in or out, but I save alot of $$$ putting them indoors only when needed. I have them in a large cart with big air tires that there buckets are in for easy and quick moving.also keeps critters off them and bugs spray the cart well and you dont have to worry that much about bugs or poisons on your plants only if I have to I spray the plants

Woha bro, this is a thread with a specific topic, READ THE TITLE OF THE THREAD please. I'm trying to keep this a place for guys to trade experiences and trials/tribulations of flowering for the first time. Also trade pics of flowering leading up to our first indoor harvest. No offence but don't post things here unless your a first time flowerer indoors, thank you kindly, I don't want this filled up with stuff that is off topic, happy growing man :)

Okay I need help... I have no hygrometer for measuring humidity and I have no money left for a dehumidifier. My room is HUMID!!! at " SLEEPY TIME " like really really humid and I'm into week 4 of flowering. The walls were just covered with water droplets and it felt like an amazon rainforest in there. I know what my humidity needs to be at but I'm stuck right now. I need to find a very cheap, or reasonably cheap way of lowering the humidity in this room and fast! I cant have these risks with high humidity, it's going to cause problems very soon, if not already. Thx guys.

Thank you for the price quotes on dehumidifiers man, appreciate it. But I cant wait for shipping nor spend the $70-80 (with shipping) to get this item. I may go look around at used stores tomorrow like pawnshops and such. I was actually hoping for an easier "home remedy" if such exists, maybe to just to get me through the next few days until I can really do something about this.

well this is some thing that im quoting from a dif forum
"Go to a hardware store like Lowes, or if you're in a rural area go to the farm store, and buy Calcium Chloride. Wrap a pile of it in cheesecloth, tie it off, and hang it from a string over a bucket. Works wonders. (Farms use it for lowering humidity in a barn to prevent mold of hay) I believe the commercial stuff is called DampRid that you can buy at the hardware store."

wow that sounds good, exactly what I was looking for, thanks again man, I may try it tomorrow. I have this growzone tv-2 fan controller. I cant seem to dial it in to run 80 during light and when the temp drops at night, still run an idle. The thing just shuts off everytime... do you know how to work one of these? sheeesh! I don't know how to operate my own equipment lol.


BTW I set it like this just now to show you how it has to be set to run at dark but I cant have it like this all the time, it makes my vortex run wayyy too hard

sorry i dont even really have any idea what that is

from what i gather from the pic is it "can see" that the lights are on and make's fan's run faster or something like that?

but no clue how to set it sorry

maybe @ night when temp's are down put the top dial to set idle then put the the bottom dial to where it @ just on the moon idle and low temp setting then adjust top dial to 80
i would think that any thing below 80 and it should idle anything over it should run faster im probably just talking out of my ass let me know if anything works

aye up mate,,,some nice looking plants you got there!did you use the pk13/14 from the start of flower,ive been wondering when to start using it too,ive been told to use it about 4to5 weeks in to flower by mississipi and im thinkin thats the best soloution to go with,,but ive also been told to use pk 13/14 all the way threw flower but only feed half strenth so im a bit puzzled,just thought id ask when you started with the pk13/14.thanks :)

Two weeks of flowering a little bit of white pistils are showing. So far have been feeding. General organic:bloom enhancer, vegan plant food. Roots organic: buddah grow. An molasses.
3gal. Pots - 4plants. Hps600. What other nutes or techniques Should I do. LST on them bad girls too. Temps are almost 80f and higher

your leaves are thin because it looks like you have a more sativa dominant strain. The more humidity in the room the thinner the leaves, not in width but in general thickness, if you get me. It's called transpiration, look it up. If your humidity is high? lower it and your leaves will be more lush and thicker, but the thinness is mostly your strain, which is? and your leave curl issue is not because your in flowering, it's because of a watering issue. I believe it's over watering? someone correct me if I'm wrong. It could be heat stress, I'm not sure.

if your 2 weeks into flowering you probably shouldnt lst them too much. I did a little bit myself but it's better to do this in the last week of veg in preperation for flowering stretch. Every ones feeding schedule is different as is what they use. Too hard to advise anyone really on what they should be using and when, it's up to you to watch your plants for burn and do what you gotta do right. I use 3part GH nutes for now in week 4 than I will be just adding kool bloom (high phos, and potash) with molasses on watering days only. But that's my sched right? Good luck man. Oh and if your temps are getting that high maybe you should go buy the co2 pucks ( excellofizz) that I plan on using soon, they cost about 3-4 bux a day so you gotta pony up but it'll be worth it man, in yield and it will protect your plants from high heat. no i never used canna 13/14 i should have but did not i cleared up (p) def with tiger bloom from fox farms

thanks today is the start of week 6
and no im still indoors under 400 w hps i just took them outside for a flush if i did it in my closet i'd have the same problem with humidity as your having

Update Flowering day 24

Humidity issue is now undercontrol, just settled with the controller to run at high volume day and night. Its noisy since for order to it run at dark time, at all, it has to be set to run super high at light, meh oh well, little moisture I'm happy.

I've noticed they are thickening within the buds alot faster than before now and the stalks are just starting to fill in as the" untopped" ones, just grown untouched, stretched like armstrong up in this room. The topped ones are the beefy low slung bitches I like more. They just stretched alot less and have a much more even canopy, next time it's top every plant, screw main colas, I like the sea...

The feedings are good, no defiences, no nute burn, no pests, no disease. Just knocked on wood four times lol, but everything is good ATM. Lotsa preventative measures and hard work to get through those issues but it was well worth it. I will launch any assault neccessary again and again if need be to maintain. Can't wait to start my 4-5 week co2 application. Shuld do some good damage, hopin. I'll be running anywhere from 1200-1400 ppm for the last weeks. And it's almost time to introduce the huge boost of P-K more emphasis on the K, via "kool bloom" into my regular feeding schedule. Ok OK on with the pics :weed: og kush
