4 Tops on 1 Plant... PICS...

I've fimmed in the past and my record is 7 shoots from one fimmed top... So you can definitely do it, but I don't think it's necessary. I don't even really top anymore unless I have to grab clones from the non-mother for whatever reason (fill-in space due to bad planning, fill-in for sick plants, etc.). I find the added tops don't EVER make up for the stress caused on the plant... The more tops mean more buds, yes, but they're always smaller. Stick to the nature of the plant and you'll end up with a couple realllll heavy colas.

many many ways to skin a cat, whatever works 4 ya... i agree with missnu (think that was name) I tie tops down or pinch em to drop and heal themselves... the lower shoots become new strong tops ( they think they it is their job to be ) good luck

I am trying to make the Hormone Auxin to control the tops of my plant... The hormone controls the top of the plant for new growth... By Fimming the top I am taking the energy that the plant would use to grow straight up and diverting the energy to other areas of the plant will allow it to grow in other places.... Right?

Some of us have topped the way Uncle Ben explains many times over the years and it not only works but it works well regardless of you not knowing for sure if the pictures used are of the same plant or not and you think you have to document what you did every step of the way.

What you did was still, to the plant, the same thing. It caused plant hormones, auxins, to send out four new main leaders. It is the same thing, the same principle, it caused the same reaction in the different plants.

Basically you reinvented the wheel and surprise, surprise, just like the old wheel it ended up being round.

Chill there lil' buckaroo. Maybe while waiting for your card to come you should consider taking some anger management classes .. and possibly seeing someone about your paranoia. I am getting close to 5,500 posts and I have never seen a single pork-copter circling my home and being retired I am here a good bit of the time so I think I would have noticed it had it ever happened. But if the pork-copter has been flying around and around your house ever since you started posting on RIU maybe you should consider switching to a different growing site. There are a number of them out there to pick from so finding one you will feel safer on should be very easy for you to find.

It's the same on any site like this if they have any or many longtime growers for members.

If you want people here to help you then you will have to make an attempt to get them to like you or else you will not receive the help you say you seek. You will need to chill, to turn things down about a dozen notches or they will figure you are just one more pain in the ass jerk and they will either ignore you or ridicule you. And if you want to impress anyone here with something new I would suggest that next time you make sure it actually is something new .... but keep in mind that some of us here have around four decades of growing experience and we have seen just about anything and everything imaginable tried at some time or another ... so coming up with something that is actually new, rather than just new too you, might be rather difficult. But keep trying lil' buckaroo ... you might get lucky and stumble onto something new some day.

I respect those that respect back... I am a learner and do NOT care to hear the riff raff of people that read about growing and COPY & PASTE their "knowledge" from the Internet... Thanks for the info.. I am glad you did not hop on the Bandwagon.. Fully understand you...

I have been growing for 8 years now and majority of my grows were in pots and outdoors... For the last few years I have been doing hydro grows... I did a sea of green recently and had GREAT success and I would love to do another one VERY soon.. Harvested every 18 days or so...
To get to what I am trying to say is I am always ready to learn from someone with the acquired knowledge through experience... Oppose to someone giving you BS about nothing... I have no patience for BS...
