this is called uncle ben's topping technique, get it right

This is called someone reinventing the wheel and wanting to be given credit for being the first one to invent the wheel.

Maybe I will do the very same thing too but do it with my back towards my plants and looking over my shoulder using a mirror to see what I am doing while whistling the Star Spangled Banner and claim it is an entire new technique too and see if I can get any credit for it.

oooo, a sticky. But I'm certain he created germinating???? I can't be wrong there, right? Yeah, Uncle Ben's Paper Towel Method. Before that, didn't folks just bang on seeds with a chillum and hoped they sprouted?????

My favorite new one here on the forums is "MONSTER CROPPING!!" It's taking a clone from a flowering plant. Someone recently coined the phrase for it here and therefore REVOLUTIONIZED THE GAME.. lol.

Yeah, I have to chuckle at all the "cool" buzzwords thrown around in cannabis forums - "super cropping", "monster cropping", "FIM", and one of my favorites, "LST", which is nothing more than an oxymoron based on a lack of understanding of plant processes, the implication being that topping or some other type of training induces "stress". Da kewl talk of "Grams per watt" is another one I find hilarious. Put such buzzwords into a new thread's subject header and da kids come running. Insert the word "botany" or "culture" and you won't get a sidewise glance LOL.

Then there is the timeless, multiple threads written by those too lazy to lurk/research current or past threads or understand the function of a leaf such as the one now posted in this forum for about the 100th time! --> "Would you trim fan leaves in the vegging stage"

What's really new is that noobs haven't discovered certain timeless concepts or processes before, so to them, their revolutionary finding is a "new and advanced technique" . :D

personally, what i find tiresome is the proliferation of folks bragging on their 'medical' status, as if their 'condition' gives them some kind of moral superiority. we are all committing the same crime here. If you are 'medical' what does that make me? Just another kid raiding the medicine cabinet?

I hate the whole concept of medical marijuana. It will never lead to widespread legalization and will result in a stupid body of regulation of MJ which will be very difficult to ever undo.

Ok, I'm off my soapbox.

NO NO NO... I topped the plant but in a different way... Instead of cutting the top at the stem, I cut the new growth from the top of the plant...

1. You topped per my thread, which suggests you can follow instructions,

2. Your statement is confusing.

Nice plants though!

In my typical long drawn out manner I basically said the very same thing in a different thread. In short, when it comes to growing there is nothing new under the sun, only new people believing they are the first to discover something old.

I am not sure if it amuses me more or bothers me more but what really gets me is how often I will see someone with a medical card pulling it like a knife or a gun in a discussion as if to say, I am a med patient so I know better, when in fact they very often times have an extremely limited amount of experience with growing and and an even greater lack of exposure to the vast number of strains that exist. It is as if they believe being given a recommendation equates to them also having been given knowledge and experience.
