I am absolutely in love.

You're my new hero... A nice indoor grow/garden is such a pleasant way to pass time... This setup is phenomenal.

Anyway you can let us know what your electric bills are once you start the heavy artillery? I am rather curious as I will be moving into an apartment in the near future.

I will be building the tubing on the hydro setup, and will try my best to make a step by step guide for you guys.

My clones have rooted well, check out the photos.

Here is how I do it. I dip cutting in clonex gel, and add up to 300ppm of clones solution until I get some roots to sprout.

Then I stop using any rooting hormone, and switch to Botanicare pro grow and Hygrozyme up to 300ppm until roots look about like they do in the photo. Then it's time to transplant. I also start using "roots organics" brand of foliar spray there "extreme serene" when roots start coming out.

Anyone out there using hygrozyme...the shit is flat out amazing!!!!

1 gallon is around $135 but well worth it.

Thanks,
Welcome back homie. Love the cuttings, very nice & neat. :peace:

I go to bed at 5am and the power blows in my whole complex.... Thank god I was awake to catch it, and spend the next 6 hours feeding my just transplanted clones by hand every 5 minutes! in the dark!!!!!

I have the pictures taken, when i have some time im will create a how to build guide.

This system is pretty cheap if you compare it to one that you would buy.

haha nice, im in the same boat except its just in my closets. right now im using cfls and florescents and no a/c and my bill is around 70. how much will a 1000w or a 600w add on after i start flowering? its only 1 and is a digital ballast actually worth it?

It depends, there is a post on this site some where that has some good info in regards to power. So are you saying you have a small top feed system in your closet?

Nobody, I will give you an idea of the cost you will pay per a month of flowering using a 1000 watt or 600 watt lamp paying the maximum which is about $0.12 per hour (It will most likely be lower than $0.12).

1000 watt X 12 hours X $0.12 kwh = 1440 / 1000 = 1.44

1.44 X 30 days (1 month) = $43.20

$43.20 per month for the 1000 watt bulb with the kwh being $0.12.

Hope this helps dread. To figure out the 600 just substitute the 1000 watt with the 600 watt or what ever wattage you need. Also call your electric company from a prepaid phone or something & ask them what is the kwh in your area.

ouch, wow i already bought a regular 1000w but now im really considering the electronic 600w ballast. i have 2 closets, 1 have a mother plant in in a seperate tank and also an aeroponic cloner that i built. my other closet is my flowering closet which holds 18 plants, right now im just waiting on my clones so i can start flowering.

im not sure if i did the math right but with a 600w, it would be 25.92, which i would find reasonable on top of 70$ for a 1 person apartment. would a 600w on a light rail be enough for 18 plants?
its in a closet with a squirrel cage, and fake mylar covered walls. i also plan on using the diy co2 kit. smell wouldnt be too much a problem because i have no one that would ever be invited over and blueberry just smells delicious.
