I use ffof. All I do is mix it 2:1 ratio of ffof and fflw. I don't add anything else. Never burned or any issues with the soil, but I don't think adding the lime hurts

ok, that clears some things up, but i dont know how i can be a troll....the starter of this post is walking around thinking all his grow problems have been solved cause of the magical lime, when in reality, he isnt doing anything to the soil that hasent already been done b4 he bought it(pH ajust, only the company prolly put more thought into why they use what they do, other than a couple posts on RIU on how great it is)....and if it fixes his "problems" hes having then he changed other things in his grow....but whatever, i get so burned out trying to help these kids in the right direction, good luck with your plants guys, when you stop blaiming the soil maybe then you can find out what your doing wrong...

Ok everyone is entilted to their opinions lol we're not here to fight but I have to agree with putting lime in there, I have had problems with promix for almost 2 years and have tried EVERYTHING under the sun to fix it EXCEPT LIME... Last night I ran straight RO water thru my pots and my ph was 5.4 (booooooo) so I'm guessin that is my problem because in theory that could only be the possible root cause... Big ups to you guys for recommending lime, but I usually buy the 3.5 cf bails and my question is DO THEY REALLY expand to over 7 cf?

Listen this isn't '' whos right and whos wrong, I just wanna know what the fuck is up with my plants and you said that lime prolly wansn't the answer... Well promix is peat based which is very acidic right? Well I guess that's why my runoff ph is 5.4 which I would say inturn is locking food out causing these defs... So if lime isn't the answer then how do I get my promix's low ph up??

like i said in my first post......run off is bullshit, if you think its a pH problem fucking run 5 gallons of 6.5 water threw your medium, that WILL fix the problem as long as you correct your pH b4 you water or feed from then on, if its simply a lack of nutriens and gets lworse, obviously you need to bump your shit up... but i should mention iv grown plants without pHing my water in FFOF, fuckin water goin in a almost 8 with healthy green growrth, the buffers work in the soil...now you might have a slight salt build up, in which case the 5 gallon "flush" i suggested will still work...
EDIt, like benny said stop foliaring too

Believe me that's the beginning stages, they get alot worse... But doesn't that sound logical, LOW SOIL PH WILL CAUSE FOOD LOCK OUTS?
To be honest I grow hydro but I have a extra closet so I ran a few soil grows just for the fuck of it. I never checked my runoff or my soil ph and all is good. My friends grow nothing but soil for years and they never checked the soil ph and their shits bomb. Plants always healthy
