Update!

Today we got the stuff we ordered, and I've set up the 3rd lamp in our motherroom.
So now we have 1 lamp for the clones we're gonna have later on (which is now used for our recovering C99s), 1 lamp for the PC and C99 motherplants, and 1 lamp for the TD and G13 x Haze motherplants.

By the way we're using Easy Rolls to raise and lower the lamps. Here's a few pics

Our motherplants are still looking good, although the Tangerine Dream ('Penny') shows sign of Zinc and Nitrogen deficiency.
We're going to do something about that asap.

Here's pics of our 3 motherplants and the injured C99s

Tangerine Dream ('Penny')

Pineapple Chunk

G13 x Haze

Our C99s and one PC (bottom right corner) still recovering

And here's the electrical sockets from the floweringroom

It looks like a mess, I know.
But it's necessary, because there's way too much noise comming from the whole grow room.
If I would ever have guests down in my basement they would immediately know somethings going on in the next room (where the growing is being done).
I also have a workout room in my basement with lots of machines and stuff and sometimes people ask if they can see it.
For now we've been lucky to avoid any suspecion, but it's just a matter of time before someone will figure it out.
To get to the point, the grey box in one of the sockets is connected with a remote control that I can use to switch on and off the airpumps, carbon filter and the fan.
That way we can use the remote as soon as we step inside the basement, and the noise will immediately stop.
The lights will of course still be on.
And as soon as we leave the basement again, I can turn it back on as long as my visitor is not there of course.

We have an EC meter now and now we know that we're not using enough nutrients for all our plants.
It's a huge relief that we have this EC meter now, this enables us to supervise the water and nutrients much more thoroughly.

Here's a pic of one of the G13 x Haze plants we have in the floweringroom, where it's obvious that it's missing nutes

And here's a pic of all the plants. They've really grown :leaf:

Damn man, i'm jealous of your setup.
Lookin real good.

I think I'm going to hydro after this.
would you say it's a lot easier to correct def and nute problems in hydro?

Growing hydro, it's a lot easier to correct problems with nute def and / or nute burns.
It's as easy as top up the nutes with a needle (or a ml cup) or throw out the water and supply new water (which only needs to be pH'ed and then you're good to go).
There are many good things about growing hydro but it can be a struggle if equipment breaks etc.
I prefer hydro, but it can be complicated and every hydro grow has errors which will slowly come forth where you least expect them.
On the other hand, if you take good measure and follow a plan, it can be really easy!

We just had a problem with our grow today, we just got an EC meter and it broke already, it's "waterproof" but water still got in (without submerging it or drowning it) and fucked up the electrical system.
Now we have no way of telling how many nutes are in our reservoirs and that is quite a huge problem tbh.
We have made a reclamation though and are hoping for a speedy delivery!

Thanks mate, we're quite pleased with it as well :)
Got a good feeling about this now with total control of everything.
Except for the broken EC meter now as k0ijn just wrote.

Well this is my first time growing, so I can't give you an opinion about any other way of growing.
But I can tell you, that I'm really fond of the way hydro works.
It's great that you get to see all the roots especially.
I would definitely recommend it mate.

And to answer your question, it's very easy to correct it, yes :)

Cheers Myles =)

The roots are getting really huge but they look great, however we have had some slime problems, not sure if it's damaging or just a side effect.
We have got some cleaner (biodegradeable) which we're using though.

We're still deciding how much to LST the plants, they look like they can take some more :weed:

This day has been good!

The broken EC meter works again :hump:

We tested the water and all of our reservoirs are good and stable, we topped up the nutes and lowered the pH a bit.

Best news is that 5 of the C99s in the mother room have shown their sex!
3 males and 2 females!
We have killed the males and still have 3 C99s left in the mother room yet to show their sex.

On top of that awesomeness the single C99 in the flowering room is also a female :weed:

We can't believe our luck!

Now we just have 3 C99s left to check and then we can choose a mother and flower the rest!

Oh happy day :joint:

Can you see the pistils?

the way i see it, there no such things too much LST if you have space to fill :) will only increase the canopy width and longterm the yield :)

before I overthink the cardboard, its just to block light from getting in right?

hope the rest of ur C99s show female n your luck continues :D

Hehe ye the problem is that we don't have unlimited space and we haven't grown any of the strains before so we're not sure if there will be enough space.
The height is especially what needs to be controlled well, rather bushy ones than stalky ones in our flowering room, therefore we're LST'ing the shit out of these plants =)

Yes, a puddle collects at the drainage hole in the corner and to prevent algae growth (because the light hits it for hours on end sometimes) we've added a little light blocker ^^

Cheers mate, hope so too, 3 females out of 6 so far is more than I could ever have asked for!

Wish I had personal experience growing C99 to spread your way as far as stretch but I haven't had the pleasure of growing her out before. Hopefully someone who has steps in and gives you a heads up!

Thanks mate, it's hard to find people who have grown C99 it seems but hopefully the one female we do have in the flowering room will show us how to deal with the strain and we'll learn from it.

Expecting great things from it :joint:

happy to see others coming to this thread.
your setup looks very professional, something in a magazine.
people who haven't seen plants or anything are blown away by my plants.
