Weed Wars

you saw ONE episode and hate the guy lol

sounds like someone truely needs a REALITY check

not EVERYONE uses Med Marijuana to get "" HIGH ""

take the little boy with seizures for example....

...

its comments like that which set the ENTIRE movement back
yeah, i was going to let that one slide, but you are correct. His post is beyond uninformed.

The major issue I had was his complete lack of understanding regarding CBD medicine. Patients need THC-free CBD-rich cannabis products, for medicine. What part of that is not totally clear and logical?

I'm not even talking about "Getting high" AT ALL. So that show that you didn't get what I said.

I don't MIND that he is making CBD more dominant. You COMPLETELY misunderstood what I said.
I don't need a reality check to hate someone. He said what he said. If you call a black guy a "nigger" hatefully, ya'll probably won't be friends after that.

He COMMUNICATES with weed.
But wants to shut down the chemical inside that ALLOWS it to communicate.

He's fighting HIMSELF, AND ME.
THAT'S why I hate him.

It's cool to make plants have a bunch of CBD, that would be cool. But to want NO MORE THC strains, or a SEVERELY smaller amount?
WHY???

I don't think he wants THC free strains. I'm not sure where you got that idea. I think he wants to also have CBD dominant strains that have minor amounts of THC, so as to better target specific ailments. THC is very useful medically as well, not just CBD.

He was at a conference thing, where he had to speak in front of people, and said something along the lines of "We can make this purely a cure, and stop people from using it to get high." And used the science of CBD, and THC to prove his point...

You're conflating two things that may not be worth conflating. I think what he meant is he'd like to see it used as medicine exclusively (which is followed up by his comment at the end), but also that there are new strains that don't even get you high that have tremendous medical value. Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be really dumb of him to want to do this considering the medical potential of THC. And given he's all on board the medical movement I doubt he doesn't realize it's potential value as well.

THCV is another one that has some serious potential value and as AFAIK it's among the most psychoactive substances in the plant, if it's in the plant at all (a lot of the really psychedelic sativas have tested for it, again, AFAIK, someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

I don't remember the EXACT wording.
But I remember CBD vs THC was his topic, and that he was on the side of the one with "Medicinal" effects (According to what he was saying CBD was THE medicinal thing in Cannabis).

THEN he goes and acts like he "Talks to weed" and "Has a relationship with it"
Maybe he does, but he's hearing it WRONG, weed is NOT telling him to slim its psychoactive properties WHY would it use psychoactives to tell you to do that?

i think he's trying to make the point that all marijuana doesn't have to get you "high" ....

theres alot of people who do not want to or cannot handle the thc ...

i have no problem with that...

if theres Marijuana , in whatever form ( tincture, edibles, etc) that doesn't get you high that are very very rich in cbd's and it helps folks then so be it...

im all for it

its not always about getting high

i really dont think he's talking about making All marijuana for medical use non psychoactive lol

I also HAVE NO PROBLEM with having SOME strains with super high amounts or ONLY CBD...

But from the one episode I saw,
his stance DID seem to be one of ERADICATING THC, and making CBD the new "Thing".

I feel like CBD is a good thing, but people know what they want when they go in there most of the time, they make a list of strains in there head. I felt like they were pushing the whole cbd thing on the patients

It IS good, agreed. For people that have Chronic or debilitating pain...
But it DOES have more to offer, that DOES need to be preserved...
And he didn't to seem to be for that, like you said...It did seem like he was "Pushing" it on people...

Dude. I'm not confused.
I saw ONE episode, and am doing NOTHING but PARAPHRASING it (since I don't remember, word for word).
Sorry that this IS what he said, but it IS what he said....

I watched the first two episodes...... I learned a few growing tricks too (mainly in watching him play with clones)......... Its humorous, educational, situational, but I sure wish they picked a guy who didnt have fuck me pigtails on his head with a partner that wears a dress so his penis can rest easier when he walks, and the other partner of course who just acts like Oprah giving medicine to babies about to die without it........

Two more episodes to get caught up, its fun enough to spend 45 minutes watching each time I think......... Still cant figure out how the "super awesome grower" ended up getting a crop so full of spider mites though.......... Especially when spraying preventative spray regularly and whatnot too......

I know, I would personally fight it, if it was close.

But I just don't like that he says he has a relationship with weed, and wants to take out the thing that allows it to speak to us...

just rewatched the latest episode. i hate that the old guy said he didn't get high enough. it's probably because he didn't even cover the carb while hitting the flowers or hash. i wish the producers force fed him bong hits, blunts, joints, earwax and edibles.

So many points that are all valid. I also do not appreciate the way the movement is being portrayed through some of these people. The brother, that latent transvestite dude with the dress, the guy getting toked on edibles while serving patients etc. But I do like the bits with the pancreatitis lady, and I espcially liked the 4-year old boy item, brought a tear to my eye. Also the fact that the old guy (lit the bottom of the bowl, I LMFAO!!) was not 'instantly addicted and running around Oakland weilding an axe. I think that speaks volumes to the conservative dinosaurs that grew up in the Harry Anslinger hysteria. I blieve in cannabis as a medicine, always have and always will. I also agee and appreciate the need to have non THC medication available for people who do not want to get stoned. I know 2 people that are stage 4 breast cancer patients, both could benefit from this type of medicine. So there are several pro's and con's. For what it's worth in the first run on Discovery, Steve DID open the edible in the car. Makes us look bad in one way. But also edibles do not have the instant effect of smoked product. They must pass through the digestive tract and into the bloodstream, to get through the blood/brain barrier. Smoking accomplishes this in less than 10 seconds in most cases.

Anyway a great show is CANNABIS:WHAT'S THE HARM. Produced by the BBC. European television is much less biased and yellow. They look honesdtly at both sides of the argument and let the then informed viewer make a choice for themselves. Weed Wars depicts almost entirely the pro side and the way it is presented makes us look like a bunch of stoned clowns. I am gonna keep watching though, for comic relief and to see people that are truley patients in need get loved by Mother Ganja.
