Thanks FDD. I assumed it was going to be garbage. And it was, so I'm glad I didn't waste my time watching it.

I liked it. I like to know whatever is going on in the cannabis industry, good or bad. My only complaint is that all of the principals on the show acted like they were high.

Didn't see it...don't think I will.
JMHO.. ...When you flaunt it to much...people take notice. Just like the guy up in Colorado. That went on the News to show his grow room. Next day the FEDs came knocking.
But, I could be wrong.

I figured id watch the first show at the very least. It did a good job of showing different sides of MJ, the sick people who use it medicinally, actually seemed sincere, and the stoners were obvious.

I think it tryd to portray growers as unable to really reap a reward for their efforts, aside from a select few "Pro's", and I also think it portrayed the average smoker as unmotivated, unskilled, uneducated, and pretty much not living up to their potential.

probly more to it but I was stoned so......

Guys. Honestly if that's what's happening in Cali, We are fucked. The number one dispensary in the country is forced to prepay a million in taxes ahead of the year sales. They get a chance to contest it in front of county tax board or something. Their accountant could only say "we don't have it". My kid could have presented a better case!!!Possibly about being a pharmacy distributing medicine allowed by state. And possibly brought in a few patients. But NO!! And those producers are making them look foolish by showing them smoking all the time. It's just so troubling to watch. Definitely not helping the cause. Those are my two cents.

i was interested till he used the dispensary like his personal stash, "Ill take 4 of these and I am on my way."
Openly medicated and driving, IMO that sends a wrong signal. and dont get me started in his brother, what a jackass.
Ill watch one more, if there is one more, and thats it. they seemed more worried about the money and not for the patients well being.

I just watched another show today on either discovery or natgeo and it said they (deangelo) made 21 million in profit last year and sell 800 pounds a day, yet in "weed wars" we're all stressed out cuz they couldn't find 1.2 million for taxes. Really?! Wtf!? Lol that's TV for ya

lol definitely showed the marijuana industry to be unprofessional. "I'm going to get four edibles for the trip to the talk that I'm giving." I don't think there were many scenes where the workers weren't totally blitzed and while it may have been good intention to show them all blazing at the end at their own respective homes, I don't know what good it did. It was a little weird but interesting nonetheless

No they GROSSED 21 million, they are a non-profit, so anything above operating costs is returned to the community. That is at least what they claimed, and running a business i truly understand how something like this could bankrupt your company.
I do have to agree with Jesus that the accountant was a fucking idiot, but so was the owner for not going to the tax meeting, since he is the only one who has a clue of what is going on.
I didn't mind the owner taking a few edibles for the conference, but eating it then driving did make us all look bad. The one that got me was when the brother went into the safe and started picking out all kinds of shit, better be keeping track somehow.
The one really big surprise was the $4000 they paid for that lb, here in Colorado (where we are not allowed to sell to dispensaries) a killer lb won't even pull $3000.
