I GOT HOLES! haha all the exhaust and speaker holes have been cut. panel was trimmed to fit tight. im going to paint the whole outside black and the inside white later tonight i hope. had to take a smoke break and thought id update with my fellow stoners :blsmoke: i chiseled out the spot where the hinges will go, they fit perfect. i decided itd be the stealthiest way to go if they were on the bottom.

watcha think?

the box has been a pain all night! tried putting all the walls up with the frame inside and it was just to tight. i was able to get all the walls flush with the rest of the box so some parts stuck out, me having ocd i just couldnt allow that so i took the frame apart and put the walls up with a nail gun. i guess ill use the frame to build my scrog. anyway put the hinges one covered them up with putty sanded over then spray painted black, there barely noticeable now. put the first layer of black paint on, awesome part about the paint im using is that its a two part, so it primes and puts color on how easy! i still need to do the inside but i figure ill complete the outside first make it look nice and then start the inside. shouldnt be to hard i really only need to do is paint the inside white, attach the two exhaust fans, attach the main power strip, then hang the light strip. after all of that theres just some minor things here and there. anyway ill have photos later not much to see now :joint:

Looks and sounds great. This box will rock n roll. One small thing. If you painted your inside first it would be easier because now you have to cover all freshly painted surfaces that they don' t get any white mist ;)

I'm not going to use spray, I'll be using a brush. More control that's what I did on the out side. I'm not a fan of spray paint unless it's for small projects. But I'm hoping that anywhere I get white over black the speakers will cover. I'm not sure but will find out soon!

been busy lately, not much has gone on. the box is up and running sound system wise. now im working on light proofing the box and prepin it to be painted white. turns out light proofin this bitch is harder then i thought. :-? i screwed in the main power supply but had to stop after taping the inside up with electrical tape.

heres some pics

Love it, in the future I may look into a speaker grow case, more space than a PC grow case!

got the inside painted white, need to touch up tomorrow but made some progress tonight. after the paint dried i attached the exhaust fans. ended up breaking a bulb because i thought i could get away with leaving them in while i worked on the inside :wall: im going yo have to figure a way to wire all of the fans together tomorrow to. the pc fans wiring is to short, its a simple solution just add more wire. the fans run silent and with the black mesh in the front its unnoticeable. plus ill be adding a big stretch cloth screen to cover up the speakers itll look great when complete. now i need to work on light proofing the fans.

ok lets have a chat about my grow strategy. im going to do 12/12 from the very start, just made this decision today. ill have between 4-6 plants at one time in the cab. ill clone plants about once a week one time. this might sound confusing but makes sense in my head hahaha, pretty much ill have a constant rotation of clones going. when i clone once a week itll allow me to eventually start harvesting every week which means more :joint: and bongsmilie which makes me :eyesmoke: haha sorry had to have some fun. anyway back on track with this constant rotation ill have enough bud to be gettin stupid stoned before i go to sleep every night. ill LST and tie the little buggers down so i can fit everything nicely in the cab an get about an oz per plant. ok so with all of this stated i have some questions.

1) there will be 10 bulbs total i know a 3:1 ratio is good but do i need to have more veg bulbs than flower or should it be the other way around since im starting from 12/12?

2) i have the fox farm trio... how the hell do i use these when i start from 12/12?

thanks guys haha

Mr Skunky Haze,

WOW, what a great thread. Having fun with this build?

This is an awesome idea; plants love music. AND! Using it as a functioning speaker increases the stealth properties dramatically.

I'm subbin up and can't wait to see what happens.

Happy Building!

P.S. Looks like you're giving avrum a run for his money

but making a speaker box that grows my smoke.... now that was something different haha

glad to see you joined the ride! :joint:

1. More light is better light; however, your plan has been successful thus far and you would harvest quite well with a 3:1 ratio.

2. My expertise with FF nutrients is limited to none, but here goes some theory: with a 12/12 from seed grow, treat the first two - four weeks like your veg cycle. You will have small plants in a small space living in low intensity lighting, so treat your nutrients the same. Whatever FF recommends as their "feeding schedule" cut all of their values in half and use that as your new maximum. Again I have employed these nutrients so it's probably best to wait for a FF user to reply before making a decision.

Avrum sent this one my way: https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/416589-12-12-seed-thread.html. It's a great 12/12 thread and may be of some benefit.

Go green. :leaf:
