Mr Skunky Haze,

WOW, what a great thread. Having fun with this build?

This is an awesome idea; plants love music. AND! Using it as a functioning speaker increases the stealth properties dramatically.

I'm subbin up and can't wait to see what happens.

Happy Building!

P.S. Looks like you're giving avrum a run for his money
haha, i'm glad to see fellow speaker box growers out there!

well at the rate im moving tonight it looks like ill be done by the morning! nothing like tokin up while building a grow box haha i could do this all night long. progress ive made so far tonight: touched up inside white, lengthen the wiring for the fans, mounted yet another two lights, found a spot for one light on the side, hung another set of lights for smaller seedlings and clones (these two lights can be removed any time), finished one light trap now i have to do the other. all thats left is to hang the 120mm fan by the lights, make my second light trap for the rear fan, and wire up all the fans. im almost done stoners!

also found out my seeds are in new york with usps right now. i just hope theres seeds and not a letter....

nice setup man .. very creative.. just be careful with that power strip on the floor.. should always install power sources to top of the box ..( just be careful when watering.. ) make sure no water leaks out of pots/ onto the ground of box..

Looks great, MSH. Regarding bottoms/water trays, I've seen a few people put their false bottoms on runners and trays on top of that. I'll PM you.

Keep up the good work!

with the current light set up. 12 bulbs the temp is running around 91 right now. and thats with about an hour running. ok so thats not good. the humidity is at 29% i can raise that with an open water source ill just push it to the far right corner away from any wiring. but shit the temps are high. should i just reduce the amount of bulbs? or would about 90ish degrees be ok? id assume not but id like some feedback

Chances are, your humidity is okay. Once you get your plants in there, you'll have an entirely different kind of moisture exchange.

However, 90s is too high. This will also increase once plants are in the cab. Perhaps adding another fan at the top of the back pannel or the ceiling would help with this?

Did you run a soundcheck yet?

hahaha yea ill see if i can get a video tonight for ya.

the box is deff running to how. maybe 12 bulbs was a bad idea haha ok so ive cut that in half i only have 6 running. ill keep track of the temps. id rather not drill another hole and make a big mess out of this if i dont have to. i suppose i can deal with 6 lights. how hot can that honestly get?

i chiseled out the spot where the hinges will go, they fit perfect. i decided itd be the stealthiest way to go if they were on the bottom.

watcha think?
Looks pretty awesome, I'm jealous (and between woodworking projects...). ;D One thing, I think you may want to just remove the hinges. When things start to get a little tall, you'll be knocking the buds when you open it, right? If you took the hinges off, you could just lift the whole top off. The weight of the top should keep it seated just fine I would think. Can't wait to see how it's coming!

no the hinges are down on the lower panel the way the open wouldnt touch the girls. that was one thing i put into consideration

thanks for complainants!

Does your intake capacity equal your exhaust? That might be restricting your air flow. You might want to add another fan with such a small space, one that flows past the lights to vent the heat, and one that is across your grow space to best circ the air. Ya dig?

Now I'm curious... what music are you bumpin'? :bigjoint:

EDIT: just saw your post about the hinges. I see what you mean that it's the front edge that drops outwards. That ought to work!

yep there both 80mm fans from the same company so id assume everything flows right. theres third fan by the lights to push the heat away from them. i think i just had to many lights 12 is a bit much i suppose im playing around with combinations right now ive got two of the lights hanging and four up top so 6 total. i put a big paint fan by the back of the box to quickly empty the heat out so i can see if this combination gives better results.

and well pretty much anything with some bass! between bricksquad, kottonmouth kings and some doughboyz you can get a good idea

ok so i read that its better to have all my fans (besides the inner circulation one) working as an exhaust and to just have the fans blowing air out. so can anyone confirm this for me? would i be better off with the fans both pushing air out and to just have two passive air intakes?
