Much obliged Potroast :)

Some good info xxEMOxx thanks! And thanks everyone that's subbed up. Nitrozime is a high priced kelp fertilizer and compared to the kelp shlelp that I picked up yesterday the price difference is considerable...the nitrozime is 42 bucks vs 16 for a larger (half again as large) bottle of Neptunes Harvest and the NH calls for only one tablespoon/gal and the high priced stuff calls for 4-8 tablespoons/gal.

Good point about the cost Kidneystoner. I haven't priced the MG yet just snagged what they had at a home and garden store. They are a little pricey with their stuff I'm sure I can find it cheaper elswhere. I was suprised at how much a 2 gal bag was.

Seanel and THC welcome aboard!

Hey buddy thanks for the welcome.. Im really interested in this grow experiment of yours.. i wish ff was cheap around here its not and like i said gro shop is 80miles away.. sucks... MAke sure you take plenty of pics for me.. i did some autos in micacle gro one time didnt feed just let them do their thing and they turned out ok but again they were outdoors... rain water ect.. The nutrient part im really not all that interested because nutrient make the world of difference... gonna have a hard time comparing just the soil with so many variables man... id try to simplify things the best that u can.. simply using a+b nutes or just mg tomato ya kno?

I know what you mean by all of the variables seanel and I will try and keep it as simple as possible and not make early judgements on things lol. And I'll take plenty of pics ;) I have a sneaking suspicion that the thread wil eventually lean towards whether or not high priced nutes make a difference in yeild and taste. I will have to leach the MG soil during the final 3 or 4 weeks of the grow with a catylyst such as Earth Juice to help cleanse the chemicals from the plants.

Feeding schedule...

First couple of weeks water only. I use water from my tap that has been sitting for a day or so and try to ph things into the high 6's. Not sure yet whether or not the first dose of mg will be a half dose or a whole dose. We'll see how they look then.

The Miracle Grow fertilizer is stupid simple, a half teasoon every two weeks lol

I will be using mycorrhizae with both test samples. There is no question it is beneficial, I started using it a couple of months ago and the roots have exploded. I'm thinking that I can get it cheaper than what I'm paying at the grow store. A 4 oz container cost 23$

This will be good to see. I'll take a seat and wave a MG flag.

I use the seedling and cutting mix to start veg or clone works better then anything else I have tried. Don't have fox farms or none of that over here

I agree, with some perlite because the stuff is almost like moss.

I never priced the syuff, but I know I need root help. I used Rhizzotonic (sp), and it helped a lil, but was $23 for like 6oz or something.

How much and how often do you use MYCO?

Im down for the test....

Where do you get, or do you make the mycorrhizae?
Bassman! Glad you could make it brother!!

When I was getting the MG yesterday at a little home and garden store I noticed 2 or 3 different kinds of myco but didn't catch the price.

Whole bunch of accident in that race today. I'ts a new track in Kansas and apparently needs to cure some lol

Thanks T for the link. I haven't looked at yet but I will in a sec lol. I like the large #3 or 4 perlite and used some #3 in the MG but it needs something smaller also like smaller perlite. I have never used anything other than perlite for areation but I should experiment with something else

Once per plant every two weeks. They are very beneficial, but expensive. the price HC put is around average 4grams for 20+ dollars.

Hc that brings to mind that i have bought MG perlite before and it is almost dust, but was "dirt" cheap. haha...But usually i get whatever perlite i see in the hydro shop. But havn't needed any recently.

That's a great idea stoned cockatoo. I could have got some of that yesterday it was right next to what I did get. Never thought that the MG soil would be this heavy though lol. I'll have to cut it with something :)

Thanks for subbing man I think it will be interesting
