New to posting, I just made my own stealth room and put in 2 plants to get ready to flower, I think, could ya'll look at her and tell me if she looks alright, The picture is about 2 weeks old.100_1872.jpg Now she is about 10 inches tall

I moved the 2 known autoflower the bigger one is skunk, I think the other is white widow.100_1873.jpg About 2 weeks behind Skunk.

My space is 3x3x6 and I plan 4 plants, just getting started, using 2 6500, 4 2700 and 1 4100 flouro fixture for side lighting...I have a great 12 volt exit fan with a charcoal filter venting into another room behind a dresser...I have a clamp on fan on 2 off 4 on 2 off 4 and just changed the lights from 24/7 to 18/6 with a timer...I will gradually get down to 12/12 but it may not matter with them in bud already...

So any polite comments are welcome.

...can you get some clearer shots of the buds? ...those first 2 pics look like they might be hermies.

...and don't be offended if nobody pays attention to your thread man, these forums are for studying and for socializing and so if you want to learn how to be a better grower you won't waste time asking questions and just waiting for your answers, you'll hunt your answers down instead with the certain knowledge that anything you can think to ask has already been asked and answered MANY times before and if you just want to hang out and chat that's cool too, you just won't learn much while you socialize.

That 4100k flourescentt bulb is worthless for growing try to get a 3000k(flowering) or you could even use 5000k or 6500k.........

...yeah, that's not exactly true man, 4100Kelvin is almost exactly the spectra of a CMH, ...i use nothing but 4100Kelvin PL-Ls in my clone/seedstart box and i get way more growth than i can handle.

BUT your using them as clone/seed starting light not for flowering:)...flowering plants use light best in 2 specific bands of visible light from 400nm to 450nm and 650nm to 700nm
If you've used them before and have pics to back it up ill believe you, but you know from what ive been told and read about spectrums and plant usage, AGAIN swap that 4100k for a bulb in the red spectrum 2700k,3000k..........peace.

Then I will look for the right bulb, I have 2 fixtures, do I need to add the second one at 2700 too?

A good ratio to use is 3 to 1........3 2700k and 1 6500k or 5000k...the 5000's seem easier to find at stores
This ratio is good for flowering stage and for veg

...here's a link that will help explain why 4100Kelvin is definitely NOT useless in flower and in fact does a fine job of growing some hellacious buds.

Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH)

...and here's a few grows using these PL-Ls, ...keep in mind that one of the chief benefits to using CFLs (PL-Ls are a form of remote ballasted CFL) is your ability to tweak the spectrum you deliver to your plants and blending your light to offer a mix of spectrum's will always do better than just using one spectrum.

downsize this. 2x55W pl-l. original haze & more.

Vert PL-L 550Wflo/110Wveg NGB,Drbud cab

330w Pl-l aero scrog.

110 watt Pl-l micro ScrOG

Anti's MicroStealth Cab 4000 (The PL-L adventure!)

...these are some fine examples of what a dedicated stoner can do with ordinary fluoro's.

peace, bozo

btw, here's a shot of a couple White Rhino's i grew under a 400CMH (4100Kelvin) and each yielded nealy 2 zips from 2liter Coke-bottle hempy-buckets. ...so almost a quarter elbow from only 4 liters of medium.

Thanks for that advice...I'll try to get new bulbs soon.
I have 2 t5 fixtures that came with 4100k bulbs, but when I bought 3000k bulbs from Lowes I returned the 4100's in the 3000's package and with that money bought 2 more t5's.... you got that:lol:......im gonna make a 24" 8 bulb t5 fixture for less than $80 :)........pics when im done:lol:

...it was about spectrum dude, and you saying 4100Kelvin was useless and me proving it wasn't.

...and it sounds like you HOPE to have been there and done that while i have in fact been there and done that.

bozo

btw, if a thread is long it usually means it contains much useful information so when you say a thread is too long for you to bother reading what you're saying is you're too lazy to learn something that seems to contradict something you think you know already.
