vent the hids out of the tent...leds produce heat just as well but its more spread out so imo harder to control without ac....hid will kick leds ass Dont care what anyone says...but I will admit that will change here soon because that is where all the r and d money is being spent these days

I love me cmh fer sure...but I do like the hps and predominantly cmh mix for flowering though

Plus fans ducting. Cooling and double the electricity
You could run a cmh set up. 1 Philips 330 allstart ( mh mag ballast). 340 watts at most at the plug. Will cover that tent good. For $200 or less no ductinv or fans or glass. Runs cooler that a 250w hps.
Kite. You get enough cmh. You don't need hps.

advanced tech has good info but they are truly idiots and don't really have a clue and have the worst customer service. It will take a month for your bulb to show up.
growers house has cheap hydrofarm ballasts. the largest wings too. the 330 has a quartz crystal coating so its rated to be in an open reflector .

If you talk to Thomas you get good service and unbeatable pricing ...well I deo anyways...lol...he's advanced's owner...lighting supply in Michigan has a good deal on them as well

My experience withe them has not been good. They answer my questions with the same question...... took 4 1/2 weeks from ordering to get the bulbs. And paid $10 shipping. For each. That was the shared garden. I just ordered 2 more from 1000bulbs. Got here in 4 days. Paid $8 and some change for shipping.

3 x 3 x 6 tent will be reduced to 5ft due to all the venting + height of fixture/hood/bulb + distance above plant to avoid bleaching/cooking= maybe 4ft of grow height
I have 2 tents, one is 2 x 4 x 6 in which I have been experimenting with leds to excellent results, but, I still give up ~ 1.5ft of height.
What to do?

I just ordered 4 x 4ft (available in 2ft) @ 23w T8 LED tubes. I will be using them for flower, supplementing my household led globes. They can also be used as supplemental side lighting. Eventually, these will replace my HH globes, gaining me ~ 8-10" grow height
The last pic is from prev grow combining ufo 90 R/B with HH globes

Op, 600w HPS is pretty hard to beat, $225 with ballast and reflector. Add some deep blue LED and you will get incredible buds.
PetFlora. I have been using a household LED blulb to grow some Aloe. I shattered the globe to try and increase the lumens. It worked great and would work even better on yours since they are frosted glass.

I'm sure removing the globe would be huge, but I expect to move them out of the garden once I get the tubes rockin. I might use them to supplement below canopy

I wouldn't bet the farm on them yet! Every thing I have read from many manufactures shows real promise but there not quite there yet. Even this link states that if the color yellow isn't a problem to still go with HPS. For the price right now I will stay with HPS...but it looks like, for not much longer.

Those are the old bulbs not designed for horti which I use and IME blows all hps away. Here's info on the new lamps. Which are developed for horticulture.

I keep hearing LED's wont produce nice buds, Then I look at my buds that are about the size of a tallboy.

I totally dig that HPS has superior penetration and brightness.
But my gals are F'n happy as hell.
(2X Blackstar 180's in a 2X3 foot closet)
EBill went up about 40 bux when I started back in Feb.
Dropped about 20 from that when I went to 12/12.
