So Lacy, have you decided what strains you are going to put out for your first medical grow? Anything special ?

That a very good question. I really should be looking through and asking questions about the different strains but I am hoping that these people will have a better idea than I do.

I honestly don't have that much knowledge of the different strains as i have grown from bagseed for so long and was only until last year that I found out I could order them online. :-|

I would love to get some Jack Herer for my fibromyalgia

some train wreck just because I am curious as ever of it.

and there is other one but I forget what it is called but it is for general anxiety and panic disorder (ptsd) etc.

do you have any suggestion shamegame? :confused:I know that you used to volunteer your time with people suffering from many disorders

Great to hear Lacy! My friend is looking into getting one as well. We are in canada and he has asked me. If he goes for his card would I be willing to apply to grow it for him? He has been diagnosed with MS. I'm just not sure yet on all the procedures involved, if that's something I am willing to get into.
How long did the process take for you?
its not here in Canada :hump:
O Canada...:joint::joint::joint:

Yeah I have read a lot about strawberry cough. It seem good for many things but anxiety is one for sure.

Thanks...I've had blueberry before that I know of so i want to try some new things. I may very well have tried many of these strains but I have ever been one to care what the strain was before I gained some kowledge mainly from this site.

I didn't truly even know the difference between a sativa and a indica. DOH!!! :|

Well the experience I have had with helping other ( more serious ) patients at the UCI medical center has been limited to two things:

1.) Easing the effects of chemotherapy for cancer patients. This is one of the areas where MMJ shines, for many but not all patients. Increased appetite, decreased tremors and sleeplessness due to the chemo drugs as well as the stress of having a terminal illness. My mom was one of these patients.

2.) The other thing we do is to try to find the right balance of MMJ and prescription pain killers for the above patients. Anyone who has been on high doses of opiates knows how bad they affect your memory, mood, and overall wellness. By ingesting smaller amounts of MMJ, patients can get the same amount of pain relief from smaller and/or less frequent doses of the drugs. This allows the patients to be more "themselves" than zombies.

As far as strains, for their purposes we grew out pretty much any indica dominant strain, and let them go a long time to increase CBD/CBN levels.
Brownies are their preferred method of intake for most of the above folks.

I will ask a couple of very knowledgeable people I know here, and see what they recommend.

Shame :peace:

Very interesting because I have decreased my prescription meds by more than half and sign my doctors wouldn't sign my papers i went off ALL me other meds. cause I can be a spiteful little bitch ;)

You kow taipan I have been thinking about that all day long. As soon as I made up my mind that it has been enough time and I need to get on this and make it happen...it did.

It always amazes me how our own human energy works to attract to us what we want as long as we do not lose our focus.

So true. What a kind gentle reminder it has been lately that the universe is indeed listening and paying attention.:peace:
