Yes there are a lot of people with cards for anxiety and depression. It is considered a mental disorder so if you can get past that part yourself, you're half wy there.

The hardest part is trying to get a doctor to sign for its use. They don't get anything out of it so there is no incentive.

Yes I know the feeling with the doctors. My gp has no problem prescribing pills. When I think about it he is more of a drug dealer than any of I have ever met.

Good luck. There are some links around this site somewhere that are helpful as well as other members here.

wow congrats on the card! im applying for mine soon too im glad our whole country has this in place...not like the states where its only select places...so u said it took 8 months after sending in the paperwork to get the card? that seems like a super long time! i applaud your strength at being able to wait...i would be marching into someones office and demanding that my voice be heard...my goodness...did u have any setbacks with the application? or did it just take that long for the paperwork to be processed? and i was also wondering where u got all your treats! it wasnt from health canada was it?

Good questions.

I tried applying to Health Canada but my gp would not sign for my use
So I then had to get all the paperwork togther and send it in to a compassion club. I need the application completed and signed, along with photos etc....and then a LOD (letter of diagnosis)
I am now allowed to have 4grams a day BUT it does not give me permission to grow plants.
I now need to go and find a doctor on my own and get my growing card OR get someone to sponsor me to grow for them.
It is a very dragged out process but you have no other chose but be patient.:peace:

Good luck to you.
If you need any help just let me know.
