I work with automotive glass all day and I fully understand how strong tempered is...on the other hand I know that this reflector is going to be air cooled and shouldn't get much wear and tear....I guess I just want to know if its not unreasonable to put a regular sheet of plate window glass...

cover where the lens should be with foil??? you know the lens is the piece of glass that lets light out of reflector while allowing you to keep the bulb sealed inside and air cooled...
