  • Still nothing from Attitude. I know you ordered your seeds with a t-shirt, as did I. Did it come in a box or envelope?

Temps: I bought a 4" inline booster fan, i placed it in my box, not really attached to anything. It seems to move enough air that it cools 3 or so degrees. I also have a small 8000BTU a/c that i use in that room, and when i point it directly at my intakes, i manage to get the box to about 77 degrees! (with 7 bulbs, 6 23 W (6500K) and 1 42W (6500K). Without the AC, temps go 90-100 range

Soil: I know you're also using FFoF soil. I've been doing some research and noticed that this soil comes standard at an alkaline pH level (7.3). Everyone talks about the need to get this number to the range of 5.8-6.2 or so. Did you do any prepping of the soil, other than the Perlite, to lower pH? I have a cheapo pH tester, the guy at the hydro store it trying to convince me that i need a digital one in order to prep my water/nute mix for proper pH range, along with up/down system.
This is what I'm talking about, check out this LINK. My plants have held up really well in the face of some pretty high temps, and I've been using this stuff all along.

I solved my heat problem too... with the help of the outdoor temps going down. I opened the window right behind my box about 6", and the cool air comes in right into my intake fans, and has dropped the temps in my box from the mid to high 90s, to between 70-85 depending on the time of day and weather. It's also increased my humidity a little which was only around 30%.

Did you order arrive from Attitude today?
Awesome, thanks for the tip. I moved the box around and managed to get my temps to about 78-85 degrees. I'm praying my order from Attitude comes thru with no problems. I'm thinking tomorrow should be the day.
By the way, regarding your temp problems in your box, you might want to try a product I've been using called "Pro-Tekt" by Dyna-Gro. It's a Silicon solution designed to strengthen stems and roots, and protect the plant from drought, heat, and cold. I'm sure there are other brand names that have a similar product so you don't have to go with this exact one, but this is one of the cheaper brands so you're not paying for a big name. I think it costs Around $5-$8 depending on where you get it and the smallest bottle is enough to grow several plants at least.
