  • Wait a week. Lets see how they react to what you did, unless you already started. Just keep an eye on the tips of the leafs, if they start to die or look burned, you added too much nutes.
    k. I have the General Hydro Ph Controle kit with ph up/down.
I just added fresh water w/nutes on sunday (normally do every sunday). should I wait for next change or do right away?
Invest in a ppm meter too when you get the chance. I dont worry about the ph meters'. I still use the old fashioned test tube!!
Nope no worries about flushing. Just simply get a gallon of water, add 1/4 tea spoon of grow and 1/4 tea spoon of bloom and mix.. Then make sure your ph is right, or else this is for nothing.. Then fill your res to where you normally have it!
thanks. So I fill res with water (im using purified drinking) then add the nute mixture (10 ml per gallon of water) by 1/2 tsp. (1/4 grow and 1/4 bloom)?
do i mix the grow/bloom nutes in seperate gallons of water or same gallon?
and should I flush with only water for a day or so 1st?
    thanks again
Oh and I would only add 1/4 teaspoon of veg nutes, and 1/4 teaspoon of bloom nutes. Please wait until the 1/2 - 2 weeks go by before adding the micro. If the plants show no sings of over fertilizing after a week, we know we are ok!! The ph DOES have to be within 5.5-6.5 for the plants to be able to even use the nutes.. A simple pet store or wal-mart has ph down. If you use tap water, I can almost GUARANTEE your going to need ph down. The thing about tap water is, their is so much chemicals in the water to help clean it. These act as a 'buffer', making the waters ph higher. If you use Distilled water or R/O (reverse osmosis), then there are less chemicals in the water, making it easier to change the ph lvls. If you ever hear r/o water, it just simply means distilled, or filtered water.
Hay bud! Sorry I havent been on in the last day or so. Yea go ahead and clean out the root chamber. I use water with diluted bleach. 1/10 mix should be strong enough with the bleach.. Now since you are in flower, I would use your veg and bloom untill the end of week 2. After week 2, use Bloom and Micro only. You need to add the water, add the nutes, then add ph down since you are using tap water. Now, your problem is this, you need a TDS meter. It reads the ppm or Parts Per Million of nutes in your water. Your res holds a VERY small amount of water, so I would only use a HALF OF A TEASPOON, and see how the plants react.. This is what you need to do if you have no TDS meter.. Again let me recap. 1. Clean res. 2. Add water to res. 3. Add nutes( be careful, its better to underfeed then to overfeed! The roots can lock up if their is too much salt from your nutes!!). 4. Adjust your ph to 6.0 or as close as possible................
