can you do a drain to waste drip system with coco?? or would it cost way to much in nutes? i mean is that even a practical way to go?

im thinking of switching from soil to coco. if i had water how often do you think i would have to water? right now in soil i water about every 4 to 5 days. the post are 3 gallons and my plants get to be about 3 to 4 feet tall.

anyone here use 100% coco coir? im thinking of switching from soil to it and was wondering if you could pot plants in it and water by hand? if you could i was wondering how often i would need to water and if it would be better to set up a drip system. I really have no idea about the stuff so...
