first of all, manure is herbivorous excreta that has not yet been decomposed/composted and is too hot (fresh) for the plant to use. it needs to be broken down first. biofarm is a composted soil additive, with manure, wood ash, and a bunch of other stuff, it is ready to be used with the soil...

ants are not a pest for your plants 95% of the time. they are usually feasting on something else around there. either bugs that are feeding on your plants, eggs laid by other bugs, or the sweet goo that erupts from white sores on a plant's stems. not sure of the name for that condition.
