To answer your question, I germinated 4 different strains. White Widow, Kandahar, Carnivil, and Big Bud. After nine weeks, for the most part they got to 14- 16 inches give or take an inch. Because it is my 1st time, I researched grow lights extensively and found some large CFLs at Express Light Bulb. These are 8-9 inches long, about 4 inches in diameter. Not the typical lamp cfl but the larger ones. In fact, since then I even ordered more as well. I am burning 10 CFLs for 8 plants, 2 plants per strain, roughly 2-3 lights per plant. It's abit much, but whenever I researched it, it was all about lumens and color spectrum. The reason I went w/CFLs was I did not want a real hot grow closet. But you plants will double in size when you start your flowering cycle, unless you prune them down during veg. Wish I did, but I will on 2nd grow, however I got some beautiful looking bud, close to harvest too. Good luck, I hoped I provided you w/ some help
