  • Sorry, I've been away from the comp for a while. i wish with luck with your first soil grow from seed. The key is to let the soil do the work. Use lots of perlite in your soil mix. You want it as "light" as possible. Perlite, vermiculite, are key to a nice light soil mix that roots can thrive in! highly recommend you mix in worm castings if you can get them too. Worm castings are a key soil conditioner and fertilizer.Fox farms soil is great if its available. MG ORGANIC gives good results too. Not the regular MG tho, that stuff is poison. I think soil is much easier and better than hydro. No feeding for 3-4 weeks, then start with a weak fert scedule. My whole system is pretty much on autopilot now. I just water and cut and transplant clones.
    Use light soil, do not overwater! MJ prefers dry soil to wet soil. most people overwter and overfertilize. you must resist the temptation to do too much. Keep it simple and let the plant and the soil do their thing.
