I find that rotating the strains out every day really does help with tolerance issues and staying away from bottlenecked genes like cookies and most hyped strains these days will also help. I'd throw some heirloom and landrace hybrids into the rotation if possible as some will have no ceiling...
I'd have to agree with Thumper. Peat moss is very acidic as it breaks down and you will definitely need to correct ph issues down the line. I only use high peat moss mixes for azaleas and blueberry bushes as they love acidic soil.
