If you're in Oregon, why don't you just get some clones for the first couple rounds. That way you have proven genetics while you pheno hunt through the seeds. Not sure how many seeds you've grown out, but they're not always winners.
I'm assuming you mean to transplant? I used to run a butter knife around the outside edge where the dirt meets the pot, then kinda push the bottom of the plant up while I pulled the sides down. Make sure it's pretty dry or it will fall apart.
Reputable seed companies are able to draw a higher profit. Beware hype. I believe you get what you pay for. But just because something costs, doesn't mean it will produce.
