Accidental autoflower?

I recently planted six Kandahar Afghan seeds and had them under 24-hour light for about a month when I noticed that two of them were flowering, both male. This is the first time I've seen that happen, out of maybe a dozen crops grown from seed. It makes me wonder if maybe the males had a little ruderalis DNA in them or if this is just a common thing with Afghan plants. Thoughts?

Did you have any recent power outage or turn the lights off to spray, even for a couple hours? It seems seeds, especially ones rich in landrace genetics can flower at slight stresses in the light cycle. Veggin 24/7 makes plants super sensitive to dark cycle, but seedlings even more so as they haven't had that experience yet. Just a thought, otherwise maybe you got some auto genes in there.

Op, to clarify my previous post, it happened to a plant that was just starting veg. I had it under the same light as seedlings for 24hrs. Imo 24 hours starts to cause funny things after seedling stage. I wouldn't call it stress, but it might do something like flower on its own. I don't know what I'm talking about for sure, but maybe they get "tired?" They don't see any Dark period comming, so they try to rocket through thier life cycle.

The plants I've seen this happen to seem to like going to 12/12. Never tried to re-veg.

My indoor veg is 24/7, and no problems. Only when I did that to some super early outdoor seedlings, did I see issues with sudden dark cycle. Veggin 24/7 makes the plants more compact and makes them stretch a little more and flower a little quicker when you flip.

More info if anyone cares: of the six 'Afghan Kandahar' seeds I planted, four were male. Two males bloomed in the past week. The earlier-blooming males have gone over the Rainbow Bridge into Hemp Heaven a few weeks ago after I got as much pollen as I wanted from them. In contrast, two of the three 'Pure Pakistani' seeds are now flowering female. So I've got three plants that are still unsexed, two Afghans and one Pakistani. I still don't have any Afghans that I'm certain are female, so I'm thinking that the Paki plants have the edge when it comes to faster flowering females.

well hopefully the last 2 are femAle, odds are on your side seeings a males organs form faster then females so they can be ready to pollinate females
