How long u veg for is up to you and ur strain. Generally the longer the veg the bigger/taller they will b. Less LST'ing. Just keep lighting in mind. I use CFL's 4 veg -between that and my other screw ups I can keep them 2 about 18in before I put them in 12/12- I still need 2 work some things out- I feel I should b doing better by now. I am such a NOOB!!! LoL Honestly I am so on the fence with doing some sort of Hydro system - It just seems like they grow so much faster? Oh well gotta go 4 now, Happy 420

sorry 1000 char limit Water and nutes go easy-I have Hermied and stunted a few babies like this PH is very important again learning the hard way-no I don't have a fancy tester yet but working with a cheap y 3-1 light/moisture/PH meter-less than 10 bucks but will work for now. I also got a cheap digital humidity/thermometer-again less than 10 beans-will be getting more later on-also looking at those that have more than one reader thing so you can mount them at different heights thus giving you more control of temps before they cause you grief. Very Cool, yup I can PM folks now took a few weeks PK again I am no expert but I will share my pit falls. #1 Less is more for water and food #2 PH is Very important #3 Air flow #4 Lighting----Just curious did u mean LED's ? I can share that for Veg'n CFL's Rock and they cost less to run keep heat down many pluses What I did for veg lights was took a simple power strip and went to Home Depot got a thing to plug into power strip that makes it so I can put a light bulb into it-then got a light bulb splitter so I can screw 2 bulbs per outlet used-for me I have 4 23-27 watt Cfl's per strip with a mix of Color temps (Blue/Red Spectrum's) I can put pics up if u need them very simple-the only drawback I can see is you need to raise the plants or lower the lights to about 2-3 inches from light to reduce stretching. I am not familiar with stores in your area ie Home Depot or Lowes or Wal mart so it is tough for me to guide you. Is there a local Hydro shop near by? Continued

PK- Good day 2 u- I totally get what your saying -kinda why I chimed in Dont get me wrong I have respect for people and there are some here who have a ton of knowledge -but their attitude _S_U_C_K_S_. I can also get where folks r coming from-some skepticism , and I also can understand after seeing the same ?'s day after day can get old quick . I try 2 type my ?'s in the forum / sub forum -I also look for others that r already doing what I want-I have like 70+ threads I subbed to. I am also learning that if you fail 2 plan, you are planning 2 fail. I am working with soil at the moment-going ok will get better I am working with bagseed and just trying 2 get a feel for the plants ect. I have a ghetto veg box w/cfl's and realized (for me) the importance of a grow box-I think it's like 3x3x5? with a 400w HPS-currently have a CMH bulb so far so good. I knew I saw your name tag before-you were asking about seeds-Dude your in Can. I thought you could buy them anywhere? I will do my best to answer ?'s keep in mind I am no expert. Auto's-These are usually smaller in overall size and do not need a light/photo period (12/12)----Fem seeds assure that you will end up with gurlz providing you do everything else right to keep from getting hermi's (can happen to any female plant for a number of reasons) this is why you need to do some homework first So what do you have figured out or planned thus far aside from you want to grow?

ok enough of that. I thought I knew a thing or two about growing till I came here and learned I did not know Shit I really did learn a lot from going to Forums and just reading keeping in mind there is a great deal of BS---proof the thing that will get us is helpful (emulating those who are doing what we want to do)-trust me learn from their mistakes-If I can be of any help let me know-please be patient with me as I am a little slow (mentally) but I usually figure it out.
