for 7 plants I should use 3.5 gallons of water? damn thats seems a lot but I hope I havent been underwatering the entire time, most of the other gals lookin good. On this schedule

You might be underwatering them. they are 5 gallon buckets, so you need to water them with at least 3.5 gallons. How do they feel when you touch the are they stiff or life less? Are you using any nutes?

Eh bro, try to remember what they felt like when you first potted them into the 5 gal buckets without a watering. then feel how they feel now. if it is heavier than when you transplanted into 5 gall pots they need a watering. I really don't think they need water though if you watered 2 days ago. Usually when they are flowering and in 5 gal pots you need to water every 3 days. You can also try to stick your finger into the soil 3 inches deep and if youe feel any type of moisture then they are not ready for a watering. Also check the bottom drainage holes if they are damp your good you don't need a watering.
