OK here's what I found. I finally got a magnifying glass strong enough to see bugs. I have mites that are a cream color and have black spots on them. I think spider mites which I hope are easier to get rid of. Not sure if the different color on the leaves is caused by them.

I wanted to thank all of you who took the time to share what they know.. this turns out to be a confusing problem there are a lot of different thoughts on what it could be. Thank you!!!!!!

Have not been able to get a strong enough magnifying glass. I saw a picture that looked like my plant and it was broad mites. I just don't know. Plant seems to growing and healthy.
