  • Dont worry man..... killing the plant isnt what you should be worried about.... Im pretty sure your mom got that plant from someone who grows... so it must be a clone of some female plant... unless she grew from seed then you wont know until its first or seconde week of flowering.. but yours is defenatly a female !!! now in all normality it will stay a female until you cut it down to dry and smoke... But many factors can stress it... Lack of water (not too bad) Over watering (pretty bad) which is strange because people would usually think under watering hurts the plants more.... Well its better to have good roots that are a bit too dry than soaked roots that have a potential to rot!!! one of the main factors that will stress it to a hermaphrodite is the light... if you keep giving it different light hours its not gonna be happy ... you should have it under light for 18 hours for it to grow and 12 hours of light a day for it to flower.... basically a hermaphrodite is a female that at the end of flowering phase (when the buds begin to really swell up) will develope just a few male flowers...this is because cannabis is supposed to reproduce.. Like we are by the way heheheh... and if the female doesnt get pollinated by the male itll wonder why it hasnt manage to reproduce.. so its gonna continue to flower until harvest time comes ... the hermaphrodites are basically plants are are begging to reproduce.. so dont be afraid of hermies they are natural things... they just kind of suck if you wanna smoke your stuff rather than use it for breeding ...... if i were you i would try to give that plant a week or two of vegging... (get a proper grow lamp and keep it on for 18 hours a day) until the plant picks up again and looks healthy then prune it cause its getting too tall and leggy it seems..... (leggy = slim and not strong enough stems) once youve chopped it to be shorter (cause the plant will stretch to about double its height by the middle of the flowering phase) you can put it under the light for only 12 hours a day and itll begin flowering.... If starting by the 7th week of flowering you start seeing little tiny banana like things growing out of the buds pull em out.... they are the male flowers........ and it doesnt matter if you pull them out manually.. seen as they will only show their faces around the time you are gonna be harvesting....(you could even leave them cause its too late to pollinate your nearly ripe buds..) but people who have other plants in their grow room would panick a little... There you go i hope this helps a little bit..... If not let me k onw and ill try to explain better
