Hey man, glad I came across your journal. I am in week 6 of flower with an SLH and it's already showing lots of red hairs and receding pistils, much earlier than I expected. In what week did you end up harvesting?
It is a great fan. I bought one myself and did a ton of research before I did. This is the cheapest you will find it anywhere. It sells for upwards of $200 in some places.
As for your friend who grew 15 plants with zero smell...I would not take any advice from that person anymore.
Just another thought as I consider your problem further. You say that you are planning to vent outside through the floor, which is a good idea, but you do know that the exhaust is going to smell pretty strongly when you get to late veg and flower, right? This scent can travel a good distance...
Wop, take it from someone who has in the last month or so finally conquered the same exact problem you describe. I did everything, including all that you describe above and was pulling my hair out. Everything the other posters say about intake/exhaust is spot on. You're fighting a losing battle...
Very glad to hear this. They look much greener this morning than they did last night.
Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to hit them with the scissors again. Just reading up on manicuring and recognizing that I didn't manicure near enough. These mothers have a ton of sugar leaves.
Exactly. I just last night hung my second plant in the same area the jar is curing (and burping). So if it doesn't "grow" after a few hours in the bag, I should feel pretty good?
Here's my second plant by the way, definitely the best colas of this crop. I'm proud of this one.
That's exactly what I'm hoping I AM seeing. This is all new to me, so I saw all those white spots and my buds looking more whitish then greenish and wanted to make sure that's what I am supposed to be seeing.
Yeah, these are definitely more like spots, like the trichs are popping white, not cottony or webby at all. Hopefully I'm just being super sensitive, but I didn't expect the color to change so dramatically like that.
Drying some buds using the dry/cure method where you hang for 3-4 days then jar with a hygrometer. I jarred last night and after 11 hours, my jar RH had only risen to 63 percent, but my buds look whitish or maybe palish. I think (I hope) it's just the trichs but I also worry about some kind of...
I've been using one of those Accurite temp/humidity gages and I worried about the accuracy of the RH. So I did two separate salt tests on the gage using the linked directions:

The first test leveled at 66 percent after four...
Thanks for all the input. My first plant was ready before my other three, so I started the drying process for it before manicuring. Just looking at the hanging plant three days later, I can totally see how what all of you say is going to be true. I will struggle through it as best as I can and...
