Please tell me this is normal

Drying some buds using the dry/cure method where you hang for 3-4 days then jar with a hygrometer. I jarred last night and after 11 hours, my jar RH had only risen to 63 percent, but my buds look whitish or maybe palish. I think (I hope) it's just the trichs but I also worry about some kind of mildew. Please tell me this looks right.

Looks good to me. I've dealt with mold my first time and it looked almost like strands of cotton or spiderwebs.

Check them over, maybe put them in paper bags for a day or two and see how they are.

Yeah, these are definitely more like spots, like the trichs are popping white, not cottony or webby at all. Hopefully I'm just being super sensitive, but I didn't expect the color to change so dramatically like that.

You got some frosty ass buds, smoke up dude!

Like I said, paper bag'em and check every few hours and see if it spreads. Nothing's worse than losing a crop to mold. Next time hang'em for a few more days to be sure they are dry before jarring.

That's exactly what I'm hoping I AM seeing. This is all new to me, so I saw all those white spots and my buds looking more whitish then greenish and wanted to make sure that's what I am supposed to be seeing.

Exactly. I just last night hung my second plant in the same area the jar is curing (and burping). So if it doesn't "grow" after a few hours in the bag, I should feel pretty good?

Here's my second plant by the way, definitely the best colas of this crop. I'm proud of this one.

Thanks man! It's been quite an experience and I am ready to try out my first ever bud.

So no worries about any mildew judging by that first pic?

not from what i saw. the bud is in your hands but remember this is the freshest nug you've ever had. If you grew right (which by your trichs, you did something right) you're buds are going to have the brightest crystals, most potent smell, dankest of dankiness unlike that of which you've had.

That's actually a cutting board you're seeing there. Have no idea what the stain is. I was excited but not THAT excited.

Very glad to hear this. They look much greener this morning than they did last night.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to hit them with the scissors again. Just reading up on manicuring and recognizing that I didn't manicure near enough. These mothers have a ton of sugar leaves.
