I got a tanning bed to try first (See lab test results, posted above), but now I am experimenting with bulbs that go into regular shoplight fixtures, up to 40w ballast, from tanninglamps4less.com. It will still be a month before I can get new samples to the lab. I know when I looked at reptile...

Cool, thx! Now...how do you keep it from drying out too quickly, without having it mold? Or do you dry it , say, half way & Then cure slowly over time? (The time I tried it several years ago, I saw a mold issue)

Source? The lab tells me burning is the only sure method of decarb...?(ie it is a chemical reaction to release a co2 molecule from THCa, not just drying it)

Burning it is how we decarboxylate,... keep it in the dark if you cure that long...ever tried it?

The only thing I remember advocating a longer cure, was the Cannabible II. They claimed a 4+ month cure developed more and varied terpenes, giving it better smell & taste, like aging a fine wine...I swore it was a typo (4 MONTHS!?) until I saw it was consistent through 4 or 5 times mentioned in...

Ok, Hyroot...I googled the first part & got your Spanish seed co.! Cannatonic strain, & Love their chart! Talk about variation from plant to plant! But amazing levels of cbd, still having close to 10% THC along with it in some cases! Thanks! Good luck with yours!

Over the years, I thought it was: harvest 'early' = relatively more THC vs other cannabinoids (not just cbd), supposedly resulting in clearer, cerebral high. Harvest 'late'= relatively more cannabinoids vs THC (including cbn, the cannabinoid that THC becomes after light exposure), resulting in a...

Should I just Google that whole sentance? (Pardon my ignorance, nl*) *nervous laugh

Yes, though 'high' is a relative term, & medical strains much over 2-3% are rare(unless, maybe, their THC% is much lower?) I have heard there is work going on to increase CBD, but it requires a corresponding decrease in THC since Dr. Mechoulem? determined both are synthesized in the acid form in...

Note: the lab measures both delta9-THC in the stable form ( THC ) And THCa ( the acid form )...but decarboxylation causes a 12.3 % weight loss, so Max THC=0.877xTHCa+THC

Per Ed Rosenthal's book: I tried to augment one 1000w HPS with 100w of UVB tanning light for last 2 weeks of flowering. However, I only had a 600w tanning bed, so it was on for 2 hours during the 12 hour 'on' cycle of HPS. 'Shocking the monkey' definitely produced a statistically significant...

    THC vs CBD

Hey GD Purp, uncle Tom here..I'm an old man, & in h/s & college in '70's, "we dint have no stinkin internet!" We had to look it up in encyclopedias/libraries or in High Times mag! Well, they Used to say, "Don't let too many get amber because that means THC production has peaked & is now...
