loving ur stuff man, what kind of soil do you use?

new grower and don't know how much lighting i need. My closet set up is 6ft long x 2ft wide x 8ft tall. I am looking at two 400w HPS/MH from HTG suppky since my closet is longer than wide or should i go for 1 1000w light. I read on this site that those light movers are a good idea. Could i get a 400w light and a mover and be okay with my room size? with this size of a room how many plants should i be able to grow? this closet is located in the bathroom, it has a door, but am wondering if steam from the shower will be an issue.

anyone good with ppms and using bakingsoda to adjust ph? its throwing my ppms through the roof. do i take these into consideration with my nuts or just adjust noots and whatever the ppm after the ph adjust doesnt matter?

hey widowmaker i was reading up on your how to grow marijuana thread. The nutes that you used, were they liquid form or actual fertilizer pelit type?

thanx for ur basic growing thread, widow maker! i'm on my second hydro grow and i'm just learning about ppm's - how do u raise and lower the ppm's? my first cycle i was using gh flora nova (one part) grow and then bloom with superthrive - the girls did GREAT! this cycle...not so great...i'm using the gh flora series with kool bloom and fruitilicious - my babies are into the third week of 12/12 and the girl i cloned (supposed to be a mama but i'm moving and have to finish her - she's about 6 mo. old) is very unhappy - most of the leaves in her mid section are yellowing rapidly - only have 1 or 2 yellowing leaves on the other 2 plants - they share one reservoir - i change the water weekly and use fresh nutes following the schedule for gh - but i need to know how to raise my ppm's cause without the grow part the ppm's are really low - like 194 - please, any info will be greatly appreciated - mahalo nui loa

Hi, I read your beginners post and I was very thankful and impressed. I'm setting up for my first grow. I'm going for 5 , little devil lowryder strains in a DWC/Bubbler system in a closet. Im going to use HID lights at 600w , I have MH and HPS bulbs with a reflector hood and switchable ballast. The walls of the room has been scrubbed and sheeted with mylar reflective material and I have purchased the General Hydroponics nutes. FlowGRO, Micro, and Bloom. Should I look into more additives? Will a T8 bulb work for germination and seedlings? Where can I find a PPM meter? If you can help me out and give me any advice I would really appreciate it. Ohhh yea, I'm using rockwool and hydroton pellets in 5' net pots in the DWC culture. I have a 4' round air stone and two auxillary 1 inch cube airstones in there also. I also have an ultrasonic fogger that I could put in there and was wondering if that would be overkill? I was wondering if you had a kind of nute schedule for veg. growth and blooming....when to flush...when to replenish...... This strain is auto-flowering , but was wondering if I should still flush and switch to HPS for blooming , and change the schedule from 18/6 to 12/12? Any and all help and advice would be amazing, you seem like the man with the answers , thanks alot and I hope to hear from you soon..

how long after seeds have sprouted should i start feeding them nutrients got them in peat compost and they are california orange, g13 haze,and master kush they are bout week old any advice about wot should use as medium and anything else may need to know thanks To anyone

hey Widow Maker i got a question about germinated seeds...After they are all done germinating do i put each individual seed in a plastic cup or do all the seeds go in one cup (sited off your post about germinating) get back to me whenever, thanks man

Hey Widow Maker. I see that you are the clone king and I had a quick question. I have some plants that have been flowering for close to 2 weeks now and because of a certain situation I can't be flowering plants right now. I want to take some clones and put them back into the veg cycle for a while. Will this work since they have been flowering already? Any help would be great! Thanks!

widow, you seem like you have a pretty serious set up going.... i've grown small quantities before for personal use, but am now setting up to turn commercial. nothing huge, but growing to make profit. any tips? suggestions? small garden of high quality bud will make it worth my time and expenses? what do you think? thank you.

nice thread it was verry informational. I have tried a couple of times with some good outcomes but i think this will help for my newest try. If you wouldnt mind telling me what nutes you use and the amount of ML per gallon i would appreciat it. thanks capman

Dear WM: I've been out of bud for the past week, and I was thinking hey, why don't I start to grow. So after about 20 minutes of internet research, I found germination steps. After I placed three seeds in a paper towel in a plate and a bowl covering it (the paper towel moist), I found your thread on growing marijuana (amazing thread btw).
