i bought a 150 watt hps light and i was wondering how far do i need to put it away from a 30gal Rubbermaid container, i am doing bubbleponics i would also like to know how far when they are seedlings, sprouting, maturing and flowering ty for your help

soak the rock wool in bottle water as well as the seed in lukewarm bottled water and place seed in 1 inch rock wool then place that into 3 inch rock wool, put in net pot, add grow rocks, turn on pump then i should be good? i am using the exact same setup lol same parts

i am designing it at the moment i picked up a 150 watt hps light for 99 dollars at my hydroponics store and a few other things such as 2 air stones, an air pump, foxfarm big grow, tubing and a timer.

do i need to use a water pump to distribute water to the plants or can i let them sit in water about a quarter of an inch and let the bubbles do the work aka do i need a root system hanging before i insert the pots please help and thank you.bongsmilie
