Hey, I saw your Waterfarm VS SH DWC thread and was also struggling with the decision between the two. Which one would you recommend? I'm just trying to start off with one really good plant.

I couldn't afford the HPS lights but I found three 100W CFL lights on sale at home depot that put out 1600 lumen, so that plus the 20W fluorescent long bulb I have brings me to about 6000 lumen. I am most psyched. I've got a small job to do tomorrow so I'll probably spend that cash on the HPS...

Shopping for those now trying to decide. I'm going to get some cfls, I'm still just unsure about how many I need to get the proper amount of lumens for 4-6 plants.

Doing some shopping for my grow soon. Does anyone have suggestions for a cheap but effective powder nutrients. Or if not anything that would be effective that won't hit my wallet too hard.
