    Alternative to Rotovap Distillation

I'm still curious as to how exactly those are going about fractionally distilling terpenes. Maybe I'm just not understanding this concept correctly, and that's certainly a possibility! I cannot however understand how one would be able to separate the terpenes without also taking with it the...

    Alternative to Rotovap Distillation

Which is why I believe ethanol coupled with rotary evaporation can be some of the most "terpene rich" extracts I have personally come across. I have read elsewhere that ethanol as a polar solvent has the ability to extract more components than a non-polar solvent such as butane. While this is...

    Alternative to Rotovap Distillation

While I agree that each compound has a freezing point, how can we be certain that whatever solvent we choose will not simply "wash" away everything? Meaning how can we be sure that freezing will in fact "lock" that compound within the column? To counter what I just said. Observing the many etoh...

    Alternative to Rotovap Distillation

How does one selectively concentrate Terpenes alone without also taking some THC, CB, etc with it? Forgive me for what seems like a stupid question. From what I understand many of the terpenes have similar if not higher boiling points than many of the active ingredients from which we are trying...

    Setting up CO2, humidity question.

No offense but everything quoted above is false. 75% humidity will ensure mold growth in flower. And 80 is not too hot for co2. Keep your humidity between 40-50%, err on the low side in late flower if ya want. If your using adequate co2 than 80-85 degrees is appropriate.

    Super Critical Fluid Extraction (S.F.E.)

Nice post on the tamisium thank you! Ive had my eye on one for the better part of a year now. Nearly everyone that owns it swears by it. you forgot to mention that lab grade commercial butane is nearly 5 times cleaner than any store bought butane in a can, including even vector and colibri. That...

    Light rail capacity???

Guess those raptors are a lot heavier than I had thought! The magnums we use are around 40lbs. And they work fine. I'd imagine if you balance them properly you should be good to go with a single 3.5. Give it a whirl and just pay close attention to the balance.

Having issues setting up my new Sentinel CHHC-4. PLEASE HELP!!!!

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of people that use the sentinel with no problems including myself. Your environment is less than 100 sq ft. As I said before, a few misplaced breaths will fill it with more co2 than you need! If you took the controller outside and it calibrated to...

    Light rail capacity???

You sure it weighs 50lbs? Thats ridiculous for 1 reflector, what the hell is it? we use magnum xxxls on lightrail 3.5s and they have worked flawlessly for a few years now. It's all about proper balance, done correctly should last for years.

Having issues setting up my new Sentinel CHHC-4. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Your tent is too small. I know you probably didn't want to here that but co2 control in such a small is environment is going to be an uphill battle. I've used a few different co2 controllers and personally find the sentinel unit performs best. That said my environment is nearly 1k sq ft. sounds...

Having issues setting up my new Sentinel CHHC-4. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Am I reading correctly that your tent is only 4x4x5? If so I would imagine the small size is your problem. Turn the reg as low as it goes like a half cfm or something. Sounds like a few misplaced breaths could fill that tent. even with fuzzy logic on its going to take a while for the controller...

    Frozen super soil

I accidentally left a 50 gl trash can full of what was good super soil out in my shed which has been subjected to some freezing nights and generally cold weather. This batch was mixed back in June or so and has worked fine, had a few months in the heat. When I brought the container up the other...

    co2 and ac

Good to know I'm not too inefficient! To think I used to go over a month in between co2 fills was crazy! Granted that was a closet grow down south. Sometimes wish it was smaller though as my setup now is a full time job at just under 2k sq ft of space between the 2 rooms. Probably going to...

    co2 and ac

I've got a sealed room within a room. The sealed environment is 1k sq. ft. So smell outside isn't a concern, as the ass end of the ac hangs into the other room, still indoors however. Smell.....uh ya everything smells, all 3 levels of my house! No gettin around that! Anyhow I'm runnin a 15k btu...

    co2 and ac

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f2/Air_conditioning_unit-en.svg Care to explain how a window unit "loses co2?" no doubt it's not 100% sealed so a minimal loss is inevitable. However that loss really is negligible. A dual or single hose portable however like you mentioned is far...

Get an RO system as with water that hard you're gonna need one. I doubt a filter system alone would be adequate.

    co2 and ac

Your window unit should work fine and will not suck the co2 out of the room, that is not how they work. Depending on what type of controller you have, you may be able to plug your ac into the controller as well. Window units are far more efficient than portables, however split systems are the best.

    Life insurance for cannabis users?

If you smoke enough to fail a test(which many don't even do), you'll simply be rated as a standard smoker. They insure even the heavy tobacco users, rated accordingly. How big the monetary amount of the policy will determine just how much info and or testing they will do. The history of use...

    Boomers for my head aches

This is very interesting to me as my brother has been plagued with clusters now for over 10 years. Like you probably, he's been to specialists all over the country, including a few stints at Mayo clinics. His quality of life, if you want to call it that!, has been absolutely destroyed. I.E...
